Description
Inspired by the seventeenth-century epic poemParadiseLost,Blood Bondswill follow a similar exploration into the life of Lucifer Morningstar as he narrates the instances from his past. What it was like growing up in Paradise, befriending God at adolescence, the ideology behind a divine society, his outlooks on key event, war, abuse, sexual abuse, mental health topics, are just a few heavy subject matters that are displayed across the story and its entirety. If you are not comfortable with these specific subjects, immoral depictions, my portrayal of important biblical figures, or having Lucifer as a dictator to his own story, DO NOT READ!
This is no way related to the bible, instead it is the use of characters and setting in a completely separate reality where an endless war against demons is being fought. Where Lucifer and his two younger sisters Licht and Noa struggle to find their way in hostile territory. Satan is only folklore, God is a child, new casts of characters are added and many more separations, diverting the religious aspect replacing it with more individual story telling.
Hope you enjoy:)

- WomenlikelightnovelRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Going into this, I didn’t like any of it. Let me clarify what I mean, I didn’t think I would ever find a biblical LN like this one.
I’m new to the genre and light-novel’s in general, so I’m definitely not qualified for a review, but I read a lot and the atmosphere for the story is chilling at times. The character introduce for Lucy was especially disturbing. I can see how someone more religious than I am could be offended. Looking pass that you have some good stuff here.
The fighting, the use of godly supernatural powers, characters, the writing itself, all make for a compelling story. Now the philosophical aspects I could do without. I do feel as though there was babbling at times. The descriptions for a couple things we’re hazy or we’re too abstract to figure out. Tell readers the story, instead of detailing the ground and sky. Doing that will break the realistic narrative you have.
I have to admit, a John Milton story is pretty wild to do and even harder to pull off. I definitely would be looking over my shoulders if I tried this.
Keep up the good work, it’s coming together quite nicely. P.S. some of the paragraphs are too long cut them up or take words out. - ChaosZefnirRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I was intrigued by the synopsis from the jump. I like that you've added characters and changed things from the bible, as everyone's interpretation differs. Nice writing for the characters introduced, even though the POV changed a few times. I want to see how Lucy himself reacts to displays of good and evil. I feel his personality will shift drastically very quickly or stay relatively balanced. However, It wouldn't surprise me if he did a few good deeds himself in the past. Looking forward to learning more lore in the future.
- Daddy'sboss3Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5While I'm not a fan of the Biblical references and hoopla, I thoroughly enjoyed the intense fight scenes! It was a challenging read and I don't know how I feel about that, but it was still great for the most part. Keep up the good work, author! Also, what days will chapters be released?
- InlajinRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Let me just start off with the fact this is honestly the first "Light Novel" I've read so far in life, so maybe my thoughts will change in the future once I read more.
This story was SUPER fresh and exciting, especially with all the biblical references used throughout! As a man with a name originating from the Bible, AND my own story being heavily inspired by Christian Mythology, it automatically hooked me in!
The character of Lucifer is also very fresh from the depictions I've seen. Nothing much to say other than the fact I'm super excited to learn more about him!
The best part in my opinion though HAS to be the stylistic approach of the author. Only way I could put it is this: As I was reading chapter by chapter, what I envisioned in my head was a classical European Chronicle Play, with me in the audience of hundreds watching numerous actors spill their hearts into their character roles. Each line spoken with drive and drama to satisfy the audience. Almost every sentence rhyming with the past one. No other book made me imagine such a thing!
All in all, it was a bit confusing starting out, but man was it worth getting into, with every kine basicslly encouraging you to see the bigger picture!
Keep it up! - thathawaiianRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This LN unexpectedly jumped out to me. I was compelled to read from the get-go. Great synopsis and good character introductions. I love the subtle deviations from the bible, "The Void," "The Law Defyer." I'm guessing they arent real things. Keep going and be consistent. I definetly want to read more in the future.
