Blood and Magic

The gods messed up the world and brought about the Apocalypse they had desperately tried to advert. They managed this by sealing away the founding father of their godliness, the God of Magic himself.Too bad this nearly caused the end of the world itself.In order to postpone the inevitable, the gods bound themselves to the world by flooding it with their blood, and then demanded that all the mortal races do the same. Too bad they could only slow down the spread of decay and destruction as the magic of the world slowly drained away.An unintended, and thus utterly ignored consequence of this however has caused the seal placed upon the God of Magic to weaken far faster than anticipated. He wakes up, but instead of trying to fix what his family has broken, simply decides to watch the show.Okay, so maybe not. Being the laziest of the gods does mean that he is slow to act, but he does have something of a conscious. It'll just take the end of the world to finally bring him out of his self-induced stupor.After that... Who knows?He may even count his time in the mortal world as a vacation.
