Description
"Gazing Mirage" follows the journey of Yuichi Toshikyo, a young man who awakens in the dangerous world of Bleach. But to his surprise, it isn't the world of Bleach he knows; instead, he finds himself nearly 110 years in the past of the main story.
Struggling to adapt to this perilous era, Yuichi fears for his safety. He despises being trapped in a time where formidable foes like Aizen and Yhwach roam freely. Realizing that he cannot rely on his knowledge of the future, he decides to fly under the radar, hoping to build enough strength to keep himself safe.
As he searches for ways to get stronger, Yuichi lucks out and gains admission to the soul reaper academy. Determined to survive and learn the ways of the soul reapers, he dives headfirst into rigorous training, all the while concealing his knowledge of the future from his fellow students and instructors.
Throughout his time at the academy, Yuichi faces challenges that push him to his limits. As he gains strength and hones his skills, he begins to understand that he has a role to play in shaping the future. But with the knowledge of the impending dangers from the original Bleach timeline, he grapples with the moral dilemma of altering the course of history. Yuichi must navigate the delicate balance between keeping himself safe and standing up against evil. The line between friend and foe becomes blurred as alliances are tested and betrayals unfold.

- EMistRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Pretty much what it says in the title. It’s a good idea for sure, and lord knows we can always use more bleach fan-fiction, but the author seems to struggle quite a bit with using proper grammar making it a bit difficult to read. Might just be me so take this review with a grain of salt. Overall not half bad, might get caught up on it later.
- Just some guy :DRoyal Road★★★ 2.5This story suffer of a problem that i can see in many fanfics of renowned works, and the problem is... Main character. In Bleach: Gazing Mirage the mc doesn't amount anything, if you read the story ignoring the mc existence you won't miss a thing, the author tried to make him the slick, two-faced guy, who controls the situation with the meta knowledge he has, but in the end he is such a bad actor that the whole world knows he is hiding something and no one trusts him and not considering the fact he is a weakling.
In the end he's such a bland character that doesn't add anything to the grand scheme of things, you're better off reading the original work, because there at least you have an active and captivating main character...
I would sincerely recommend a rewrite of the work, with a focus on the mc because he needs more spice. - DCatRoyal Road★★ 2.0Fan Fictions are generally low quality, with a few outliers here and there. The theme is good, haven't seen many Fanfics centred around the main storyline's past. Couple that with an unknown character that wouldn't be interacting with the largest players right of the bat and also wouldn't become OP from meta knowledge makes it rare. I just can't get past the grammar, for me that's the lowest hanging fruit for stories - occassional typos are fine, incoherent sentences here and there are acceptable, but a consistent stream of typos and paragraphs that takes you out of the story so that you can understand what's being portrayed is a major negative.
The premise was interesting though, if this ever gets a proofreading and editing pass or reupload I'll give it another try.
