Description
I had always heard that your entire life flashes before your eyes in the moments before death. Yet, as I faced that moment now, it wasn’t my past that returned to me. Instead, I dreamt of a realm bursting with magic.

- Sleepy RedRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0As of chapter 18, the first mini arc seems to have finished, and now the protagonist will be going out into the world. The main character(s) are pretty powerful, although it's hinted that they aren't as powerful as they think with the appearance of some much stronger characters. For anyone looking for a crunchy litrpg story figuring out magic and engaging in battles, look no further.
- WebnovelsaremyjamRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Solid 5 stars from me .. the MC grows on you very quickly and you want to see what she will do next. Caught up pretty quickly. It is such a pity that there are not more novels where the MC is one the dark side per se rather than always on the light. Honestly super refreshing.
Can't wait to read more! A+ author - TaklenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's an entertaining story so far. It is a light read, and has some funny monolouges from the protagonist. It says in the description that it has a villanous lead, but it is written in a humorous way. There is not much else to say as of chapter 9, but I will follow this story.
- Ebixx_DracionRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The protagonist's mentality is as shitty as they come. But don't be deceived, that's what makes her descent into darkness and madness as interesting as it is.
A well crafted antihero is always a welcome flavour to a story such as this.
The magic system is also fairly easy to understand as well. - HollexRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5What happens when you die and are reborn as a monster? That you are trying to hold on to your hum... scratch that. You give in to your monster instincts and start a culinary route devouring your enemies in a sadistic way. This is the story of Blake, a gourmet in search of prey to devour and love to find.
STYLE 2/5: I really liked the system that the author has created in the work and I was also quite intrigued by the use of magic. The descriptions of the combats are interesting and the internal monologues are fun and intriguing. But what I can't stand as a non-native English speaker, is the inclusion of characters that speak... in a very informal way (maybe like Americans in the countryside?) and that makes it difficult to understand the dialogues.
example (spoiler without context)
"I’ll get right to it. And what will ye be doin’?”
STORY 5/5: I love the story, a mix of conspiracies, gods, love with a great emphasis on macabre humor, horror and a little bit of echi fan service :p. But the story is special because although it emphasizes horror and monsters unlike most stories the protagonist is not the victim of horror but is the monster of the abyss itself that brings horrors and nightmares with all his madness unleashed.
GRAMMAR 5/5: The only problem I have with the grammar is that some characters speak with a very informal dialect of English as I have commented in the STYLE section. But as that is a resource of the author and not grammatical errors I have decided to put it in that section, apart from that the grammar is very well cared for and I have not been able to detect any error.
CHARACTER 6/5: The characters are the best part of the story, each with their own personalities and motivations. You can tell that the author has put love in each of the characters including the secondary characters and mobs. But simply the most interesting is the protagonist, it is fascinating to see how a gothic antisocial teenager becomes a crazy monster that will terrorize the wor - Luca DRRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5You know of that line from matrix that goes 'guns, lots of guns'? Well, imagine the same but with stats tables, skills and leveling up. There is a lot of it from the get-go, but wait until you get to chapter three. Now, this is a feature of the novel, and like it or not it looks like it's here to stay. Look no further if you are a fan.
Style deserves a solid four for me. I am not too much into table dumps anymore after having been cooked to charred levels by reading the spider light novel from Japan. However, some fresh eyes might enjoy the deluge of stats and skills, why not?
Story also four. Solid, but I didn't see real stakes or twists yet. This is not a problem, but once again a feature one might like or not like.
Grammar is impeccable.
Character is where the novel shines. The mc and the others all have personalities and the inner monologue - like it or not - is very much in character, enlightening and entertaining. She starts off a bit wimpy but I liked the immediately apparent dynamic of her monstrous instincts taking over and making her do things. I think it can be taken to interesting shores if done well, and I hope it doesn't get abandoned in like three chapters, that would be a shame.
There you have it folks, good read! - Northern LightsRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This story is brushing against the fur. And it's not because of the main character, which will be the reason you're here (she's a delightful, quite insane murderhobo) nor because of the split personality later on, which did turn off some readers in the original version of this story. It's much more basic: The story-telling is whack. Basically, it won't be the story you -- rightfully -- will assume it is.
But let's go back to start. Antisocial looner Blake dies and her soul is plugged from the aether by a ritual performed by a necromancer, who needs her to compete in a dungeon battle royale for the honour of becoming the champion of the dark. Rather unceremoniously, Blake, in her new form as a slime, is tossed into the dungeon, and her descend into moral-free I-damn-well-eat-whichever-person-I-feel-like starts. On her way to fighting the other contestants, she encounters a village of goblins, who task her with retrieving the stolen dungeon core; apparently, some other group of adventurers stole it. And thus Blake, now in a slimy human shape, ventures out to fight dungeon bosses to level herself up in order to prepare for both of the quests she has.
The ensuing plot is clear; it's written well, it's entertaining (if one ignores a certain extremely irritating goblin child), the fights are gripping, full marks: We are happily on our way to a satisfying dungeon crawl. Two bosses later, she encounters the other contestants, and what follows in this review is not a spoiler: Rocks fall, everyone dies.
Not metaphorically. Literally. The reason why this isn't a spoiler is that the actual story, of course, starts afterwards. But you wouldn't know that from reading it until that point. There is having an extended prologue, and then there is this. 13 chapters, a clear plot, two quests in, everything is set to zero, rendering the entirety of what came before (sans, I suppose, what little levelling Blake got in) pointless. The goblins? Who cares. The dungeon core? Forgotten. The c - DinzuRoyal Road★★★ 3.0A very promising start with a classic: Slime with an Absorbtion skill.
Unfortunately, the protagonist goes full murderhobo immediately and spends far too much time talking to and correcting herself. This only gets worse later when she gets a skill that gives her a split personality to talk to, who immediately takes control of using skills, dealing with systems notifications, buying skills etc.
Sure, now there's two Blakes in a single body and that could be very OP, but the way the alter ego instantly understands the system better than the original is annoying enough for me to drop the story here. Too much stuff being done by the alter ego in the background and far too much time spent bickering with herself.
If you want to read about a murderhobo with split personality who's thirsting after her summoner, this just might be the perfect story for you. - RoseVanHellsingRoyal Road★ 0.5Really enjoyed the story until
The soul splitting, it was not only confusing but it threw off the whole pacing of the story. It went from a dark decent into villainy to random nonsense that confused me and the friends i showed it too. It was a great story up until that part and i have to say i am sorry that i am putting it down. - I live in your wallsRoyal Road★ 0.5This novel slowly destroyed my soul. First lesbian MC with no warning (very sudden, I'm normally fine but this is just different than most.) there is vore. some guy likes being eaten and climaxes while being eaten like really, REALLY? mc way too into the fl. story bad. So, unless you like vore, lesbian MC, supreme murder-hobo, and bad story? read this. this novel crosses way too many lines. evil for no reason and many other things. Also my grammar here sucks because a story like this doesn't require the effort to write and nice looking review.
