Bladedancer (Ravos Rebirth vol:1)

Description
I will no longer be posting updates here. I did a huge rewrite of the story and am going to begin posting the new version seperately starting october 5. Once the new version is posted I will add a link to it here.
When an average person is thrust into a world of magic, gods, power and monsters, how will they cope. How will they overcome the challenges that are persistently thrust in their path? Presented with choices that carry the weight of lives, decisions that have the power to influence masses and nations, how will they react?
Isaac Duran was first faced with a choice, a choice in his preferred afterlife. Given little time to think through such a monstrous decision, his first choice in a new life was made. Thrust through the multiverse he found himself as a baby, once again powerless and meek. But this time he had most of his memories from before.
With those memories and the dissatisfaction of his previous life - a good life albeit boring and constrained - will he be able to rise to the top of his new world Ravos?
Notes-Going on hiatus for a rewrite!

- RedtherulerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love the story, and the world you’re building. I like how he isn’t just instantly Over powered and is shown growing and working hard. Even him working on his skills early is shown to have helped him, by opening his class selection and his skills being above someone at his level.
- NEK_T_ORoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5English is not mine. Therefore, I will not say anything about the grammar.
Good systemic novel.
The plot is concise, understandable and not difficult. The pace is moderate and not sharp.
The characters are not paper. The main character is not stupid, but also not smart. People are people.
Everything is still happy with me. - RasinKombuchaRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5TLDR for prospective readers: This is a good, if fairly generic isekai litrpg reincarnation story. It’s about a man who is reincarnated as a baby into a world of magic containing all the usual tropes, with events playing out about how you’d expect them to. The writing quality quickly gets better after the just alright first couple chapters and there are lots of cliches but most are done well creating an enjoyable reading experience. Bladedancer isn’t one of the highest priority books that I’d recommend someone but is still one I’d be happy to recommend especially if you are a fan of the genre.
Style: Not a whole lot to say here, other than this book is written about how I’d both hope and expect a reincarnation story to be written, mainly focused on the mc’s progression with some slice of life elements here and there. I do feel like the writing style lacks some of the character a 5/5 writing style score would have but is generally pretty solid.
Story: Again, not a whole lot for me to say here. The mc is reborn as a baby in a world of magic, grows up in a quiet, peaceful village then leaves to go on adventures. The world is really just a typical litrpg style world with elves, dwarves, goblins, and dragons as well as swords and sorcery. Nothing bad here but also not much that makes the book really stand out or be particularly memorable other than the mc’s unique magic, hence the 4.5/5 rating I’m giving.
Grammar: I don't remember any point in which bad grammer detracted from the story, I'm sure there were errors, just nothing bad enough to detract from the experience.
Character: This is where I currently feel this book is weakest. Starting off with what I took the most issue with is the side characters. Most of the side characters so far have just felt fairly flat and one dimensional. Nothing egregious, but I really just didn’t end up caring much about them all that much. I also feel like some of the teasing that goes on pretty frequently between characters throughout t - DigitalDave1136Royal Road★★★★ 4.0As I'm reading it there are more and more people who like the MC and that the MC also likes, and while the author claims it won't end up as a harem but the amount of teasing and baiting wore me down and it feels like a harem even if they won't end up together officially. I believe this is due to the author intending to be friendly teasing but ends up feeling like romantic teasing
Other than that I do like the story and idea and grammar. - sanluchiRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I liked the story, the main character dies and is reincarnated in another body, in a world with magic, although there is still no clear description of the world he is in.
Then from my personal point of view I don't like that he tells or shows about his abilities.
