In the United Kingdom´s magical world, there have been some exceptional families, some more than others, be it because some powerful individual, their wealth, their history or simply because their lineage has remained untainted. Sadly, time waits for no one, and the once prosperous trees now lay bare, stripped of any seedling to rekindle the glory of the once “Most Ancient and Noble House of Black”, or so they thought in an inconspicuous alley, there lay hope for this dying bloodline.

I really tried to read more of it before posting a review but I couldn't.
So...this was extremely hard to read. The style is overly flowy which make it hard to stay engaged. The MC go on all sort of tangent that aren't even charming or quirki or funny. It's just paragraphs of text that make the whole thing heavy.
I'm not a native english speaking person but I think the grammar isn't bad. It's the style that is the main problem for me.
Next is the MC...the author try to show us his character and to flesh out his history but I don't buy it. He's rude, he's scatterbrain, he speak of his mother like a noble child of the past. Which angry eleven year old do you know who call his mum "my dear mother" ?! It felt clunky to read it.
And of course we got classic bashing of Snape. No subtility to his character which as a Slytherin is always painfull to see.
I think this fic need a lot of work. But the author is clearly motivated so why not ?:Right now it's not enough to deserve his good rating. Maybe if you are a huge HP fan with very open standard ?
I don't want to bash but I shan't read more.
