The pacing and tension you’ve built are very good. Your choice of words is also impressive. I like how you directly point out Lovisa’s character. The ghost and side character are also well done.
Chapter becomes even better when Quentin, the love interest enters the scene. they make a great pair. His humor blends well with the story and lightens up the dark moments of the story.
the style it keeps turning and showing new steps like playing cards. one show after and counter.
The more I read, the easier it becomes to immerse myself in the characters. Your writing keeps the readers inside the character’s mind, which is really good. I also appreciate the surprising changes in point of view. You have good control over the pacing in each POV.
Every character also has a unique trait, such as fire, wind, water, dark, alchemist, and death. Each one has their own way of utilizing their abilities, and you have mastered it perfectly.
For the Grammar, I’m not a native English speaker, so I may not have right grammar. I read everything smoothly, no problems, and I also took notice of the interesting words you use. So, I give you a big five.
Overall, it’s a lovely novel, The pacing is very good, making it a fast and easy read. The connection between the characters in the party is also well-established.
Lastly :) the yin-yang detective is so cool.

The writing is pretty nice and easy to follow and the fantasy elements give a nice touch to the story but the thing that actually strike me is the character, they are really fun to read and I love how the narrative flows from one to other and thanks to that it is really easy to understand the whole picture even in a first-person narrative.
All is nice but the element that is going to keep me reading is Lovisa just for the personal reason that I love weak characters for the reason that they really need to think how to resolve their conflicts so that already hook me up for a good story.
My only critique is that it kind of strike me that we were first in an apartment with very little context of the story and motivations and suddenly we jumped to a mafia headquarters in a forest? Everything was too quick and slowing just a little the rhythm of the narrative could give the reader more enjoyment in the story.
