New magic, mixed with old, and with his own personal touch, it is growing stronger by the day.
Ancient remnants and new battlefields, old races, and magic beasts, this world has it all!
The thirst for knowledge and power is driving him forward to rediscover the wonders of magic!
However, a young one such as himself, would he be able to resist the intoxicating allure of newfound power?
Unlikely...
If you are expecting some light-hearted fantasy, this ain't it, cuz! If you are expecting the MC to be some saint, prepare to be disappointed. Though that should be quite clear from the front page. Other than that, enjoy this mess!

- ZerksisRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First let me say that I binged it up to chap. 200+ on patreon. While the begining of the story might start off slow, it gets way better as it all unfolds.
While the style might not be for everyone, i have enjoyed it a lot! MC's power gradually progresses from a common man to a much more powerful common man. lmao
The magic system is great as it is slowly revealed, quite unique and fun to explore. Since it seems to be based on aome sort of sciency foundation, it seems belivable. So far there doesnt seem to be any typical supernatural things like ghosts or curses or vampires, which is great because it makes more belivable
Grammar is basically perfect, with some tiny mistakes that arent worth mentioning.
The overall story is an interesting and unique take on magic fantasy with some xania elements sprinkled in.
The world is also slowly revealed over time, the uniqueness of the struggle of creatures and people living close to each other, the conflicts...
The characters get slowly fleshed out over time, though they still remain lacking in some areas
It is not perfect by any means, but i have enjoyed it verry much and cant wait to read the rest!
You should deffinitelly give it a propper chance, 100 chapters and you will be hooked for life! - DragontailszRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really enjoy reading this story because the character is well explained. There is a clear start, a background and ofcourse some nice exciting history lesson in there.
The author has a good writing style where he combines information into the story in an attractive way and not in an information dump kinda way. The non main characters are highlighted, but not overly so that you get bored or sidetracked about who this story is really about.
I find it very interesting to read how the main character gets stuffed into a backwater magic world, where all is up for grabs, but without the decesead super God that has an inheritance laying about which makes the hero Jumpstart himself. The hero of this story stumbles into this himself, but there might be a bit more science or self exploration. How did he manage the earth bolts, what thought process made him come up with a earth shard shower etc. I would like for him to start exploring the science of magic more and coming up with good basic magic stuf. Wind blades, fire and wind, water balls, swamps to trap enemy's. The explosion magic was fun, but not really thought through and is now more a failed experiment and not an addition to the fighting force, while ice magic, water and wind magic are a bit left in the dust.
All in all I really enjoy the magic world the author has created, I like the main hero and his actions I like how he develops his own magic without the inheritance style, but I would like a bit more thought and story on just sitting there and training different kind of techniques. Also he has 3 cute girls in the house, one who is clearly interested, but keep visiting brothels, should address this issue with them/her.
Keep up the good work and love to read this till the end. - Jacora Sa'a'coraRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I love this story. The pacing is fast enough to keep it interesting. Yet slow enough to allow for world building and character development. All in all, a good time is had.
If I was going to offer one piece of advice it would be to proof read as there are a few small mistakes. - BorgneRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really good story great character development and great world explanation the way the characters have to get stronger is cool to most of the books are similar with levels and ratings it’s been a while since I read a story that didn’t contain them that keeps my attention for longer then a few chapters
- temofonteRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Look, I picked this up unsure what to expect I just felt like reading a bit from this genre. Next thing ya know had to finish what was written. I don't mind op MC's provided they are not infallible which so far he does indeed make mistakes. As far as Isekai goes I think most people would enjoy this story. Keep up the good work and keep writing fantastic stories.
- hooseurdaddyRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5There's nothing wrong with the concept of the story, it's another isekai with its own spin but where it loses points is its lack of proper setting and fleshing out if the world. The info of how things works is provided but that's about it, there aren't side stories or perspective changes to flesh out how things are viewed. The book feels like the author has a destination in mind and doesn't really want to mess around in his way getting there. I like the story but I wish I cared more about the people and the world, instead there's a bit of a disconnect there.
- ScreamingtoasterRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I reviewed this at chapter 66 and had gripes with spelling errors and the way it was written. I believe the spelling has gotten much better and I don't see anything that really bothers me anymore. The dialogue and action words are still there. For example instead of describing that there is people screaming in agony, they would just put "ahhhh!" or something. That is really my only gripe at this point. The actual story it self though is pretty interesting. The character is kind of reckless at times, but its reasonable usually. He doesn't lose all his braincells and make terrible decisions usually.
Its improved unlike my wall of text reviews. I upped it to a 3.5 star from a 3. Its a good story to read on the toilet at work. - clarigoreRoyal Road★★★ 2.5to some degree i was disappointed .. in total the chapter i liked are around 20 and chapters i enjoyed are around 40-50? and around 200 chapters ware meh ? like kinda good/kinda bad/ filler..
when i started reading this work, i honestly had no expectations because this site "royalroad" has a certain theme when it comes to the fantasy stories (heroic/righteous/sacrifices..etc.) even when there are warning or tags (like anti-hero or grimdark) , its still lackluster .. anyway it doesnt matter for this review, i just wanted to say that my expectation were next to 0 when i started reading this.. soo the first few chapter were soo good that my expectations got ignited and i was looking forward to what came next .. anyway im gonna write the other stuff as spoiler..
like in the beginning the MC was described as this dude that is bored and because of that, he has dabbled in almost everything .. even if they are a teenager with so much knowledge and creativity/innovation ..the MC should have made wiser choices in later chapters and had clearer goals .. also WTF is with all the stuff with the MC and the characters around him ? im talking about the females that mostly are liability and annoyances (simply there for drama or comedy relief)
also there were chapters that were skipped because overall they were not needed .. for example it gives information to the reader but it doesnt matter for the story because the MC has no clue what happen in those chapters
i mean overall i enjoyed the worldbuilding and details..
also how the author writes his humor in .. i still laugh at few things, for example (forgot in which chapter) when the MC catches up to the phoenix and says "we have been trying to reach you for your car extended warranty" .. like HAHAHAH 🤣
anyway like i said above .. there were 20 chapters were my favorite in this work , 40 chapters were the type i liked and 200 chapters were meh (between good and bad) as for the rest.. i either skim through or skip all together.. ofc - BlackMarch97Royal Road★★ 2.0I think this falls into a category I call in my head 'pringles reading' meaning it is not high quality, nothing special, but kinda nice to shovel a whole can into your mouth while no one is watching.
Not everything has to be Rothfuss levels of lyrical prose to read and enjoy but I got really annoyed by the end when the "chapters" are like a paragraph each. If you need to take longer to write then go ahead and don't force daily releases, but don't make each chapter so miniscule it covers nothing.
Brandon Sanderson has a good motto in one of his lectures: "make sure each chapter can be somebody's favorite". That does not translate perfectly to a webnovel but I think it should apply somewhat. I do not mean every chapter has to be action packed or something but when you finish a chapter it should be concievable that someone out there thinks 'hey that was cool' in some way whether that be in exploring magic, discussing deals on trade, backstory exposition etc.... but that last few dozen chapters were like 2 paragraphs long with nothing happening. - SkyDuckRoyal Road★ 1.0Currently about 15 chapters or so into this novel, and I can't bring myself to continue. The MC is supposedly intelligent and knowledgeable, but his character sucks. He makes highly illogical and irrational decisions as well?? It's annoying and irritating to even read what he does, and that's saying a lot since I've read crappy filler Chinese noves thousands of chapters long. Wouldn't recommend this novel bc it just pisses you off, unless you like unlikeable MCs but that's on you.
