- ShuandooRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0ust like many others in the review section I found this gem too early. The concept of the story is very unique while also being very interesting. The mc is also very much enjoyable and fun and the writing is clear and concise filled with plenty of good humour and sarcasm. I love it and hope the author keeps up the quality of the story.
- SlubbadRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is my favorite novel to date... but I think he stopped publishing on Royalroad.. I see updates on other websites.
but not on royalroad... sorry Royal road, but I need my fix.
I will see if he has a patrion, and I will pay for his work since he is worth it. - Yanir FPRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I just tried this novel on web novel on a whim didn't know if it had something that will interest me but let me tell you I was wrong it's about a guy who survived in the second world War and fight on the front lines I think and this is around 1945 and that's what got my interest also this is a parallel universe quite a lot of different stuff like the president who is in office right now with what I managed to gather around it is President Johnson but our world it was Henry Truman and the guy who is the MC has different sets of memories one from our world and from this world and that's what even got me more interesting and the more I read the more I wanted the MC is not one to hesitate to killing probably because what he saw in Europe or in the front lines but he will only kill as a last resort or if it's necessary he still has some humanity left and that's why I like about it too so all in all this novel is quite amazing and interesting so don't judge a book by its cover and I hope more chapters will be released here
Thank you and have a nice day - ApastolosRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Just finished reading the whole story up to chapter 226. Its enjoyable to watch the rise of the MC only using his knowledge of the time and how he uses that knowledge to leverage wealth. It's something I'm sure MANY people have daydreamed about.
The only real strike against it for me is the semi awkward relationship between Hardy and Elizabeth Taylor. Where it makes a little sense in that era, we are reading this in a modern age.
That being said the plot has been really interesting and I've been having fun googling the various ppl mentioned who are historical, which really brings out the realasim feel. - BakpfeifeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0It's a fun thing to read.
Of course the wish fulfilment aspects, the whole "amoral" or "straight up self centered evil" MC and so on are to be looked past but it doesn't take one out and it's, again, fun to read. Which is the most important part.
Don't expect deep analysis on post-war geopolitics but do expect some fun classical movie references.
