In 2008, the housing market crashed and caused the Great Recession, plunging economies around the world in to disrepair. However, a near-cataclysmic event in which an entire swathe of Philadelphia disappeared would become the world's main focus. After this incident happened, a seemingly alien species known as the Foul came into being, orchestrating terror and bloodshed across the globe. Now left reeling from both an economic collapse and mindless destruction, the citizens of Philadelphia, it's hastily formed Bureau of Supernatural Service and an unlikely ally must keep the peace amongst the city and discover what the Foul really are.
