Lots and Lots of Angst.
Having a crush is never easy, espically when its your best friend. But when you're suddenly forced to move to a small town and she pops up on the first day of class.... Could it be a sign? Is the universe saying its meant to be?
Follow Rodney on his journey of self discovery and love, of friends gained and lost and see what's in store.
This reminds me of Watpad in the best ways. The Angst, the drama, the love, oh it's all just to die for. The prose is nothing spectacular, but there in lies its charm, it feels real, grounded, you know this is something that has happened and it works. The characters are fully realized individuals, they each have depth and motivations and it makes you want to learn more about each of them and what happens next in their story.
As a lover of drama and side characters my favourite is definitely Derek, maybe he'll be yours too.
The story itself feels personal, it's an experience I resonate with despite never actually experiencing. I laughed, cried , got frustrated and overall was really invested. I know what's gonna happen next, but I'm sticking it out till the end.
Give it a chance even if it may not jump out at you. Remember the younger you in the throes of love and all the cringe it involved.
