Beyond the Cataclysm

It was the tail-end of World War III. Humanity had exhausted all their war power. The world powers had shifted. It was the worst time for otherworldly invaders to attack. Humanity dubbed them Cryptids. They had powerful bodies and magical abilities that made regular weapons useless against them. Humanity tried to fight back, but in their weakened state, they were helpless against the might of the Cryptids.

Nearly 200 years later, the remaining of humanity's glory was a small territory. However, humanity was determined to retake their planet from the invaders. The creatures brought mana to the world, allowing humanity to gain access to magic.

Those who fought the Cryptids with their magic were called Magus.And among all the Magus that existed, a singular person stood at the top.
