- SinderRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Disclaimer: I read this story with the intention of giving it a bad review, because I really, really do not like the description. In the end I enjoyed it enough to give it 3.5 stars and plan to continue reading the story.
This review will have minor spoilers.
The premise of the story (as of ch. 19) is that an alien AI comes to earth and creates a vrmmorpg and allows anyone who wants to a chance to play with the possibility of rewards. The MC and his friends are all incredibly intelligent/loyal/trained by elite soldiers.
Pros: Personally I really like the idea behind this story and plan to read more as it progresses.
Cons:
1) Incredibly slow (IMO up to ch 19 should have been part of the prologue and only taken max 2 chapters).
2) I really don’t like commenting on suspension of disbelief (it is a fantasy book…by definition you have to give up on real world beliefs), but when the navy is playing practical jokes with children and allowing said children to sleep in the control room…I struggle.
Overall: While my review probably sounds negative, I see great potential to this story; I really look forward to when it catches its stride.
