Description

On the outside, Max is a normal office worker. He is stressed, overworked, and newly dumped, and now he has to train a classer to take the promotion he deserves. Max has neither the money nor connections to become a classer himself, at least not legally. Only the elite of the elite are permitted to access dungeons or to claim the classes they provide.

Max's home holds a secret, however, one that will draw him into a world of intrigue and adventure. Will Max survive the dangers that lie beneath his backyard shed, or will they destroy him?

I wouldn't normally comment on so little content, but the author has proven his ability to deliver a complete work in a short time frame.
Fantastic start! I love the world. The first chapter feels real, and the 'classer' read just like some rick kid showing up expenting to be the MC's boss in a few montsh. If dungeons and levels were real, this world is exactly how our world would be. I can't recommend this enough.

Its interesting  fun and a pretty original idea. Its not that stat heavy (there isn't a lot of different stats) and there are no actual notifications and stuff, at least not up until chapter 7. All in all its a very nice read.

More please! Loving it so far, seems to only release 2-3 times a week which is my only complaint. It's a bit fast paced and expects us to keep up with a lot from the start, so it's not for those that aren't familiar with the genre.

I checked out this story because of how much I enjoyed the author's previous work. Backyard Hero looks like it has tremendous potential, but there isn't much of it posted right now. I'll keep looking for more, and I'll update my review if needed. If anything the authors writing and story telling has improved tremoundously since I started following EN (his other story).
Within the first 1000 words he has already introduced an tons of worldbuilding, ie the nature of dungeons and how 'classers' are treated better than everyone else as well as the basics of a fairly streamlined litrpg game system. Even better, he does all this without exposition or it feeling forced. The MC also has a pretty interesting class, as well as a believable reason for keeping it a secret.
My only complaint is that there isn't more, and the promised backyard dungeon hasn't appeared. Hammbody, I hope you read this and give us readers what we want!

Story seems like it will be pretty good. Only a few chapters out right now but I expect the release frequency will go up as it gains fans.
If your looking for something a little different with an MC who isnt timid this seems like it will be fun :D

The basic premise of this story, which you can pick up immediately from the title and description, is that the protagonist is a normal guy who will luckily gain access to a dungeon in his own backyard, which is a resource that usually only the elites have access to. The perfect basis for a underdog character to claw his way to the top through his own persistance and ingenuity, a great foundation to build a story on top of and something that personally interests me greatly.
Instead what we get is something completely unexpected.
    Spoiler: Spoiler
The main character is actually a "Classer" a person who has a Class and can enter dungeons, as such he is already part of a privileged group of individuals who have an innate advantage over others. We don't know how Classers are chosen but it seems to have some sort of relation to familial ties.
He has an overpowered class that grants him the ability to completely redo his Stat Point allocations at will and travel through a sort of "Shadow Realm" called the Fade, which is apparently like the rarest ability of all time and really famous.
This protagonist of ours was left behind a huge house by his mysterious grandfather and in this house's shed he finds a dungeon core, one that is seemingly the greatest of all dungeon cores and grants the MC a personal AI assistant that gives him advice and warnings.
As he's on his way back from his boring day to day job that is supposed to make us empathize with him, the guy comes across the ever so cliche scene of a woman being attacked by multiple classers and decides don his white knight armour and help(even though he's leagues weaker than literally anyone else involved) and somehow survives through a combination of his class being the most broken thing in the universe, the woman pulling his ass out of the fire, and sheer dumb luck.
Upon escaping with the random classer woman, he makes the decision to bring her back to his home and escape into the dungeon, which conveniently shuts closed b
