I will not turn a blind eye to the truth of the world. It matters not what others think of me, be they family, friends, allies, or enemies.

They may call me a monster, a devil, a lunatic even. But I will not bend. I will not break. I will not be forced into conformity under threat posed by the child of Order. Because what is Order if not Chaos’ accomplice?

There is only one path worth treading, and I will do whatever it takes to advance forward.

Avatar series fanfic.

The first volume will not have anything canon. I apologise in advance. It will be setting up the mcs background and origins.

The power system in the avatar is pretty non-confrontational. You don’t have to fight for resources like in cultivation novels, so the frequency of his evil acts will be pretty spread out. This is a slow burn novel that I hope will draw readers into the world and slowly build up to whatever the climax of each arc is. I can only promise that he will always be a rational, benefits based mc.

Really enjoying this one. Great storytelling. Good flow and grammar in the language used. The author is knowledgeable about the culture-type he is writing about (basically Viking types but nothing historic)
Fascinating scenario: SPOILER follows
So it's an avatar progression story. Cosmos Wandering soul gets (re?)born into a strange world. He is born into a challenging situation - where he is a member of the elite clan and yet not treated well within the clan.
What's fantastic (and fascinating) about the world setting?
Well there is the chi (the avatar soul can see it easily) - some natives can use it after a fashion, they don't seem to see it clearly though.
Then there is the earth-bending warriors who (crudely?) use chi to tell earth what to do. They use this skill in combat (against monsters). They are strong warriors AND VIKING in styles - not historic Vikings but very strong cultural analog.
There are "hidden forces" -behind the Viking elites - query sorcerer types, not surprised by this as magic was a thing among Vikings (especially powerful women).
The cultural embedding is very convincing and really makes this tale very enjoyable (if you don't mind some ferocity and bloody bits).
And....apart from all the internecine clashes, political intrigue, plotting. antagonism between houses and between Noble houses, "Karls" (lower nobles) and Freemen (all supposedly on the same side) there is a REAL enemy (well maybe several real enemies) = The DRAUGR.
Not entirely sure whether these DRAUGR will be zombie types or mythic monsters but they are very tough and coming your way to end the world...or at least this (very odd) world.
At the point of reading the avatar has reached late-boyhood, early warrior training. Has just had his first berserk fit - in an appropriate setting (combat) - which would be cause for Great celebration among real Vikings. Or maybe he will be an Ulfhedinn instead - they were supposedly even tougher than berserkers.

Not really a review guy but felt like i sholud give it a go since I didn't see any here at the moment just don't expect anything
Feels like homework and not very fun to read pretty much powered through bc I know its a Avatar ff
Not really liking the cultivation angle to the bending powers so far but hey try changing my mind plz
On minor things i noticed you sometimes use two words that mean the same thing in a sentence and it kinda trips up the flow of the reading
Wont say much on the characters since the story is just beginning but none of them really stick out to me not even the MC but like i said just the beginning
So yeah, i see the potential so keep up the good work. Sorry i couldn't really explain myself well i usally dont leave reviews and just do ratings
