- Shades98Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Keep up the good work, enjoy the read. Yes the author needs a professional editor and help proof reading but this doesn't take away from the book.
The story is one where a young man agrees to be sent to a different world, spends 2 weeks getting ready. Fresh concept in that bringing knowledge gets him points to help his build. - Gawd DayumRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The story is interesting; the characters are fleshed out. And world-building is actually happening. Other stories might have technically better writers but they don't have a hook that grabs. Six chapters in and I'm already invested in this book. I read mainly litrpg books, and many of them I simply can't bite into. But auspicious start grabbed my attention from chapter 2
- sir_reads_a_lotRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I have enjoyed the story for the most part, but will mainly focus on what I feel could use improvements in this review. For the most part, I think the author is doing a good job but just want to provide some constructive criticism from my point of view. Minor spoilers below.
Style: No major issues here in my opinion besides the general tropes that are pretty much unavoidable in Isekai and/or LitRPG. Stylistically the writing flows well for the most part and tenses and perspectives are maintained consistently. The beginning of the story definitely seems a bit more stylistically unique, and later a lot of the choices begin to seem based on the need to infodump a whole new world in a few chapters (which as mentioned is a common fault in most of these type fictions).
Story: My first major gripe with this story is despite the time limit, the MC didn't make great choices regarding what to take with him. If he decided to go all in on the Isekai countdown, why not use all available credit or take out a personal loan? Also, who just suddenly remembers a previously unmentioned pet at the last second? In addition, the somewhat cliche fated romance with the duchess and inevitable rejection to allow free agency on the part of the writer requires me to immediately think politicians in this world are incompetent. Especially considering we don't know what the summoning ritual cost the kingdom, or the reasoning behind the summoning besides "Goddess said so."
Grammar: Not sure if it has been edited or beta read, but for the most part grammar and editing errors are absent in the story.
Characters: My least favorite part of the story so far: Tsundere elf, dwarven warrior in heavy plate who worships vodka, overly affectionate warrior who would only be more cliche if she was a cat-girl, and an OP MC who just gets dragged along and trusts strangers despite not knowing if his aura sense is fool proof or can be spoofed by other skills. In a world where skills like danger sense - EmpireofTrustRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I try not to review this early in a story but it has been needlessly maligned so needs some pumping up to even the field.
My reviews try to avoid any giving away of the story.
The story is well written with some interesting twists that create characters that would be hard to write as their cultural mores are so different to ours. I have seen many stories claim similar cultures but this one is making a damned good effort to keep it in mind the whole way so far.
Not everyone is nice or makes the best decisions for a given situation to a nice societies standard and I do not think the writer is going to fall back from that which is the hard way to go rather than pandering to the common denominator audience.
This story has joined my enormous reading list and I look forward to see where it goes. - JacksaunRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0So - main reason I'm writing this is cause someone gave a horrible review because they simply didn't agree with a direction the story is taking which is fine as everyone is entitled to their opinions howver don't let that opinion (in this case the fact that MC is ignorant and running around blond) be the sole reason to give 0.5 stars.
This story is definitely good - the starting premise is quite inreresting, its a sorta delayed isekai where MC has time to prepare and due to his preparations when he comes over he has extreme potential and will definitely be OP - the only problem is making it that far as the world he has enterednis very harsh with little kindness inside of it. The part that seems to bother peope is that MC's teammates all are pretty quirky and it can get frustrating at times - but that's like, normal friends - they can get annoying. Overall, I highly recommend reading this but be aware that MC will be teased quite a bit and he only tends to ask questions right when he needs to rather then asking beforehand. - MynthioRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0But it is also only that; a start. The grammar thou readable is a right mess and the story is fairly standard and so far not all that exciting. The biggest issue is the reasoning which is flimsy at best. It doesn't take all too long to have plenty of examples for this, thou I shall refrain. I don't wish to include spoilers. (Not even in spoiler tags).
The characters are generally interesting, but some of them are almost comical in their pursuit of the plot and the MC just goes right ahead instead of taking the time to ask other relevant questions, even going so far as to share information immediately after being told why that may be a bad idea. This among other reasons cause the MC to be perceived as rather stupid. Other characters are so over the top they are barely recognisable as people.
The style is nice. Being written in the first person it naturally has internal monologue here it is so common that it sometimes detracts from the story. Especially since it is somewhat used to explain the MC's actions, but fails to do so adequately, resulting in more questions than it answers at times.
In total it may be flawed but is also very promising and with some revision and time, I'm sure it could reach its potential. - AlejoTheBearRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Its a decent story in my opinion, except I think all three party memebers the mc meets are annoying 2d cut outs that I cant look past. The premise is interesting and id love to see how he changes the world with his boons but I can not keep reading after meeting what I expect are permanent party members.
- lemurianxRoyal Road★★★ 3.0At the start the pace of the story felt good, but addition of filler like plots made it slightly disappointing. And the characters feel a bit overdone by the author including the mc. I would advice the author not to sacrifice the pace of the story for detailed characterizations.
- Rowing SaylorRoyal Road★★ 2.0The novel certainly has an auspicious start. The MC gets to plan out for his transmigration and is told about bonus's he can get, a fun twist. I feel the prep could've lasted longer, it would be a great place to learn about our MC as they react to the deadline.
The characters seem kinda flat and just there for convenience. The MC just seems to go with the flow. His only action is to help others, which is good, but he is just so odd about it. The author makes things work out too nicely and it just doesn't feel real.
Possibly good for a preteen to teen audience. - alistrateRoyal Road★★ 2.0While the premise is good, with an mc that actually plans and thinks ahead when given the opportunity at the beginning. He completely changes when meeting the guild party.
He is repeatedly told to not tell anyone about his skills but tells them everything after knowing them for a few days. He accepts their constant abuse while they don't have any redeeming features.
I was looking forward to the story after reading the prologue but after 11 chapters I'm tired of reading an mc that lets people walk all over him.
Maybe the mc changes over time or the author gives more background history to show why he is OK with not making any decisions about his future. I just don't have the patience to find out. If you don't have a problem with this type of mc, than by all means read the story as it's well written.
