Assassinated King

Description

A Reincarnation Isekai Light Novel.Getting assassinated sucks. Just ask Thomas, a man from Earth who made a few too many enemies. Or you could ask Lucian, the crown prince of another world who met a similar fate. But if you were to ask either of them, then you'd actually be asking the same man, as Thomas' soul was crammed into Lucian's body during their simultaneous assassinations. The Goddess who reincarnated him didn't do it for free, though. She tasked Lucian with the simple quest of saving the Almekian Kingdom from the brink of collapse. At least, it would be simple for someone like Lucian, if it weren't for the God's Acolyte who's wreaking havoc in his new world. Not to mention the numerous other powerful players who don't really hold the crown prince in high regard. With a blade lurking behind every corner, can Lucian even survive long enough to see the crown placed on his head?Action, magic, and intrigue. And a cute foxgirl companion, of course.

This is what it says on the title, a great story with a ton of promise to it, as of writing it has just up to the end of volume one and two extra chapters, I like all the characters, the legitimately feel like the main character is clever and knows what he's talking about without being overpowered or having skills beyond what he would reasonably have. The characters are well written and the grammar  has no noticeable flaws in it. The only minor nitpick is how the perspective shifts can, on occasion, be jarring and a bit short, but this feels more like a nitpick than anything, and does not detract from a five star rating. I'm looking forward to how the story progresses from here!

Except the fairy things. They suck.

Another phenomenal story by the author. If you haven't checked out his other work, The False Hero, I recommend you do so on Amazon.
In the same vein as The False Hero, this story follows the protagonist after he's been sent to another world... So basically an Isekai. The current market is flooded with them and it's rather difficult to find something in the genre that feels unique, but this story manages to do just that. Rather than just a pure power fantasy, this story focuses on kingdom politics.
The grammar and word choice is pretty good, with very few errors that I could detect. The world-building is decently done as well. I'd definitely recommend this.

The book is a fun read so far.
The grammer is of a good quality.
If you like isekai story's then this one has a good start.
The chapters are released at a good pace.
I do hope that later in the book the motivation of the main character gets explained better, what is the main drive that will keep him going.
But overall i can recommend this book so far

This fiction is a light and fun take on the well-known story of a character being isekaid into the position of ruler of a fantasy kingdom. It starts in dire straights, but remains mostly lighthearted as the protagonist quickly makes progress toward improving the nation.
The main thing holding it back is that it is often written more like someone novelizing an anime scene by scene rather than committing to the textual medium. Overly direct narration, written gags with visual basis (like prat falls), and some anime tropes that feel like they were shoehorned in just for the sake of having them. Including some tropes that are both a bit skeevy (panty shots) and make little to no sense when written on a page (panty shots). The author really is excellent when writing scenes more freely, but these parts often feel forced.
Style: Trying too hard to be an anime in written form. The tropes and descriptions simply don't make sense in this context much of the time.
Story: A fun story, if not incredibly unique, that I have enjoyed the plot of. It moves a bit quickly, but that can be seen as a strength as it keeps things interesting and makes it clear that we will actually make it to the end instead of becoming an infinite slog.
Grammar: No mistakes that I noted, and I was never pulled out of the story. It didn't go above and beyond with word choice, but it is very solid.
Character: Fun and likeable characters. Even the antagonists have relatable qualities. The characters do at times feel a bit plain and without major depth, but not so much that it makes them boring or ridiculous.
Overall it seems like a good and fun story that many will enjoy, though the anime elements eventually reached the point that I myself lost interest when I realized they were not going away any time soon.
