As a soon-to-be chieftain, Ashlani's responsibilities were numerous, complex, and often boring, but as a recently reincarnated keelish (a reptilian pest), his responsibilities only extend to 1. survive another day, 2. keep his belly full, and 3. kill anything that keeps him from numbers 1 and 2. Oh, and, if the opportunity arises, take revenge on his best friend turned murderer.

Ashlani was sent on his inaugural hunt as the chieftain-to-be of his tribe when he was shot in the back by the man he was closest to, the one he called his closest friend. Post-mortem, he was greeted by a [System], the elect, singular keelish representative. Now, his focus must be on continuous growth and evolution, to awaken to his grand potential, and lead his new people to a new age.

This is a reboot of my previous novel, Ashlani's Reincarnation, a grimdark take on a LitRPG reincarnation novel. This is a slower, more methodical approach to story, and I hope that its quality will reflect that. I update M, Tu, Th, F.

Also, I've been asked enough, so I'll say it again here: No harem.

Great pacing and character development! World building is impressive and really feels dynamic and alive. The excerpts from various factions and powers really add to the momentum of the second coming of the scaled friends. Nice to read a litrpg without the skill bloat and filler stats screen. Thank you for writing this and keep up the great work!

Simply the best non-human protagonist novel I've ever read. It lets go of classic sensibilities and embraces new ones in a fluid and not at all disgusting way. The protagonist isn't perfect, but his progression is, so you can see both his story and his character progressing.
Another point in his favor is that he uses the reptile template but never even in passing mentions the overused dragons. Real reptiles are of great interest in reality and the author knows this and uses it well.
A work that gives you what you are looking for and improves it. A more than acceptable style. If I have to find a fault with it, it is that in the first books there is little variety of enemies, although it is understood that there is a reason behind it. It would have been nice to have had some confrontation with insects when he was little.

I'm hooked, and honestly loving the story so far :)
The world-building and character-setting have amazing potential and are being utilised greatly, with some different hintings of what might be to come later.
There is a fun potential in the character growth and the pacing of it isn't sped up for too overpowered growth. Though there is still plenty of well-paced growth matching the creature he has become :)
The writing style is captivating and the grammar is perfect (Of course broken when lower-intellect creatures talk and think). But the development of intellect and character comprehension is also well thought out.
I will definitely give an advanced review at a later point when I get to know the story a bit better.
I hope the author will enjoy writing more of this, cause I will keep reading it :)

I have had this story in my read later file for a while now, I've just been distracted by other stories and it slipped my mind for a couple of months. But I saw that I was going to be stubbed soon, and I didn't want to miss out on getting the chance to read it. So I started binging book 1. And I'm really glad I have had the chance to read it, Because I thoroughly enjoyed the story and it was what I was looking for at the time that I searched for it. I don't remember exactly, but I was looking for nonhuman stories on reddit and got this story as a recommendation, either by the author themselves or someone else who really enjoyed it, and I'm glad I listened. I'm also really happy I caught that it was being stubbed so I could read it before it was locked behind a pay wall bc I have no way rn to pay for books, even ones that I really like, although eventually I'll be able to, I'm in no position to pay for something as non essential as a book.
If you've been on the fence about reading the story, I definitely recommend doing so now while it's still free!

Just biggest the entire series in a day or two and am excited for more. This was way better than I thought it would be! Between the system and the character development,  this world is amazing. Not to mention the background lore that explains why the Keelish are hunted in the first place lol. Love it. MORE CHAPPY!

This story is like the most delicious piece of chocolate. Impossible to put down until it is all gone :) The world building is excellent and so well thought out and the characters and general flow of the story is so engaging. I blitzed the whole thing in only a few days, and I only regret that there isn't another hundred chapters to read. For anybody who likes non-human MCs-like me-I would fully recommend that you give this a try. It really is so well written that I am legitimately surprised that it is not more popular. I hope more people stumble upon this hidden gem just like I did and give it a fair shot.

I’ve read plenty of xeno fiction, and this ranks up there with the best. I particularly enjoy the notable change from human to the keelish and how that alters his mind. I read the previous version, and am looking forward to how the story changes and grows with this new addition!

Slain by his brother, he returns from the grave to claim his revenge, not as a man, but as a velociraptor.
But his new form is not all that he is, for he is also a priest, with the holy powers of the divine.
His destiny shall shake the world for he is...

I’m on chapter 80 but still enjoying the story and its plot. There really isn’t anything I could say of it now but I am enjoying it more than I originally thought I would and payed more attention to the book as a whole. I hope this continues for other chapters in future

The prologue, the mc being human, felt very forced. There were few natural interactions, and the author attempted to force an impression of what the mc's relationships were like instead of letting it develop naturally. As the mc becomes a monster, there's just remarkably little coherence. The mental state of the mc swings  five different ways in 3 chapters, and comes to a steady direction of development, with little reasoning. The system part is very poorly done, with it either being too easy or unexplainably hard, again with the lacking coherence. Interactions seem forced, connections artificial.
The worldbuilding seems quite interesting, without really being introduced to the world yet.
The all 5 star reviews reek though.
