- AelemRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The writing is proper English, not many errors that I could see, and the author is not afraid using windows, something he hopefully won't lose as most do as the story advances. Interesting and clever MC, some good comic relief, although he is one of those that gets tortured by the Admins, I see a lot of misfortunate events in his path.
While Feng's training speed seems slightly excessive to begin with, taking his RL skills into account makes it aknowledgeable to me. Although the chapters are on the short side, they do come out rapidly, so if azrealth can keep up the pace, I'd say its a good speed.
Good stuff overall.
P.S: Donthebest22 has got it right. If you decide to read this, be ready to get trolled. Beware the cliffhangers! - AliceAsylumXRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This was probably one of the more unique stories that I have read in awhile because the author's personality and brand of humour really showed through in each chapter. I loved how it had a nice balance between description and story progression. Character development was well thought out and written too. Although I felt that there was a bit of deus ex machina going on in some of Feng's scenes and how Feng seems to be good in almost everything, it was refreshingly countered by some funny scenes with the admins and other characters (Like getting owned by Cythe, poor guy), which makes readers ultimately root for Feng's character. Storyline wise I like how this is going; it feels like that there is a more complex and overarching plot that is going to occur later on other than attaining Ascension in Athal and becoming the best, and I can't wait to read what's going to unfurl. The story has a nice pacing too with delicious cliffhangers, hilarious references and memorable characters.
Overall, other than a few grammar and spelling mistakes here and there, I give this story two big thumbs up! Keep writing on you're doing great! :) I like your voice as an author! - christonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A really captivating read that introduces readers to a virtual universe entirely constructed from much nostalgic memories and experiences in the RPG-verse. Great descriptive elements and subtle portrayal of characters lends a\ rich depth and texture to imagination This is made light with a good ol’ dose of comedy through the hilarious (but often with sarcastic undertones) interjections that often ambushes people with a good laugh from time to time
Good use of the stats and skill pop-ups that mimic real rpg interfaces. It really feels like I’m playing an rpg as ‘feng’ while enjoying a good pleasant read to unwind. Absolutely loved it - deuszurichRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a really fun fiction hope you read it
- rosidbeken2Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0you will not waste your time read this fic , because you will see the mc action really amusing when you read it, the author also provide a lot of table / window to make the story more have a feeling of Virtual Reality Game
it also written so detailed so you can easily imagine it, and there is interesting interaction Between the MC and the Admin that always harass him :D, well i can guaranteed the story not will bored you, instead it will make you laugh :D
i just hope the Author can keep this pace , can keep the same quality story or even maybe improve it ^^, lastly i hope the Author will not have a plan to abandon his Fanfic so soon - Donthebest22Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5this is a good story, the only problem i have with it is the publishing time, why because your a lazy ass, making me wait for ages.
Lets talk about the style, it’s good they way you incorporate the admins in the game is cool adds a real comedy element to it, and i think you left a hint that it’s a different world not just a VR which i love that kind of plot twist, but i’m not sure.
The story as it goes is about the MC training to get op and do what he wants, (MAJOR TIP: as i read lost of the book already, i can see that the setting is not adequate) the story is good and has a strong foundation the problem being is that you need to involve the world a bit more i want to feel like i am there i can imagine what it looks like from the mc perspective, as i said this book as a strong foundation and already has unique elements to it.
Grammar wise i can’t judge it’s readable and i’m not a nazi (YET) i can say you do have a bit of mistakes here and there, but i can’t really say anything about it because this is the internet you can do whatever you want, so as long as you keep it readable and understandable its fine the way it is.
Character ohhh this character, how he gets me all i can say i love and hate this mc, the point i love is how unique he is and how funny he can be as alot of time he has a good foundation and i’m not complaining, BUT the stupidity he has i swear you have to make it a profession, seriously. aside from that don’t fix it, it’s gives him his persona so to speak it the one thing i love and hate, but that make the story all the more funny, but i swear if he is a stiff as a log i will find you with my particular set of skills and kill you.
What readers can expect of this book, (MINOR SPOILERS) The book is amazing i love the comedy but maybe just me, if your looking for a good time, this is it. But beware the cliffhanging my god the cliffhanging (I’m going to go cry and hang the author) if you read this book and there is not another chapter and the chapter y - KalebRRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Really enjoying this work so far! Please, keep it up! I can see a lot of improvement as the author continues writing.
- DunfordRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5As of Ch 19:
The best part of this fic seems to be the humor. Even the excessive, and hilariously unnecessary cliffhangers are all in fun. For me anyways. It reminds me of Insania Online by Warhawx. Just without some of the polish. Or window balls. Good grammar though.
Now for the bad. Not much to be honest. I just wish the first couple chapters were spiced up a bit. They just lack any of the energy or humor that future chapters have. We also learn early that the MC is dense in his own special way, but it's not until a few chapters in that he starts showing his lack of common sense and 'street smarts'. I think it'd be funny if it was just a lack of stats keeping his mental processes down, but there's no hint of anything lack that yet.
If the story continues to deliver laugh out loud humor and interesting plot (secret behind closed doors plot isn't interesting), or if the first chapters are spiced up a bit, then I'll probably come back and improve my rating. - Wickedly_DesignedRoyal Road★★ 2.0...your willingness to break the limits of your own system just to further the plot is a serious dealbreaker for me.
Beware, spoilers!
Let's get the standard questions out of the way: you have your basics covered, good style, grammar, worldbuilding. Well thought out characters that are more than a couple of archetypes thrown together. I don't even mind Cythe's character. I don't actually like her, but I can see that your goal with her wasn't an instantly likeable person, which I can accept and even admire. Putting a person like her into such a central role isn't easy. So up until now, your story is worth about 4.5 stars for me.
Now for my problems: you show a clear tendency to put plot advancement ahead of everything else, including logic and limitations set by yourself. Some examples:
-When the MC is returning from the bandit camp, you kill him with a simple fall. A trained martial artist. Someone, who earlier basically shrugged off being thrown around by a giant lizard in a cave - when he had significantly lower stats. This simply seemed to be a forced way to limit his gains from his first hunt.
-The first in-game meeting between the MC and Cythe, that hug. It was, by itself, almost reason enough for me to drop your story, but I decided to give you another chance... On the one hand, we have a fresh character, with a basic game-body. You even emphasised with the MC that while technique can be brought over from the real world, physical training cannot. So, she is a level 1 with base stats. Hugging the MC - someone significantly higher leveled, with lots of in-game training. A powerhouse. And she actually manages to hurt him significantly enough for hib to be afflicted by a negative status effect. And she conveniently gains extra stats for it...
-The MC's reaction to Cythe and how much he is ready to give up his own goals just to please her momentarily. He is supposedly on a quest: ascend first, get revenge. He has enough motivation to pull off inhuman feats of train
