Ascension Through the Records

Description
Mikael was once a small-time crime lord in the USA—ruthless, calculated, and always in control. But when the Akashic Records descend upon Earth, offering humanity the chance to rise beyond its limits, everything changes.
Thrust into a vast multiverse ruled by strength, Mikael accepts the challenge not for heroism—but for power. In this world of gods, monsters, and ancient legacies, he forges his path with blood, ambition, and cold logic.
As he journeys across worlds, mastering deadly arts and forging powerful bonds, Mikael’s rise becomes inevitable. Whether it's clashing with divine beings, taming the forces of cultivation, or winning over remarkable women, his story is one of unrelenting ascension.
Ascension Through the Records is a strategic progression fantasy featuring a calm and often indifferent protagonist. Romance, harem dynamics, and R-18 content are present—but never at the expense of story depth or action.
Warning: This is not a fanfiction. Although it is possible for him to enter "anime worlds," the main character will never actually enter those worlds.
Expectations: A cold protagonist who is largely indifferent to the lives of others. If you are looking for a hero who saves everyone, this story may not be for you. While the main character is capable of love and other emotions, he simply doesn’t care about the fate of strangers.
Chapter Length: Approximately 2000 words.
Update Schedule: Every day at 12:00 EST.

- ,RNGESUSRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0its honestly pretty good so far the characters feel fleshed out they are not the best but they are good the system is not the best like its easy to understand but the problem i have with it is the upgrades like yeah i understand the need to have options open so you can think of something to add later on and thats cool but if you already can show us his talent in a value you could have added it his stats so they are those little annoying details also the story there is much to be desired and everyone has a diferent opinion for me the story is not the best and also not the worst also i didnt find any fault with the grammar so if you asked me if you should read this i would tell you yes
- 3034meRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Feels like the rough draft of great series. The lore and progression are interesting, the plot is one of progression with a side of romance and a developing harem, the mc is rational and pragmatic for the most part, albeit bit of a madman when it comes to training, his girls have distinct personalities and traits, although they could be better explored, overall it's a great series that I would recommend reading.
The reason for calling it a rough draft of a great series is primarily for two reasons, grammar and plot holes. Neither of these are to point of being major flaws and could be corrected relatively easily, granted it would rather time consuming to do so. Given that the author is apparently not an native English speaker and relied on AI for grammar it's understandable that its not the best. As for the plot holes, it's generally something that the author introduced then forgot, rather than some random convenient event suddenly happening that shouldn't be possible, and could be addressed relatively simply through some minor edits depending on what it is. For example:
There are two that come to mind for me, the first is the body refining that was picked up in the first arc and then basically forgetten about, granted it looked fairly basic and the skill did show up in the status after the three year time skip as being upgraded but there was no mention other than that and it feels like a forgotten growth mechanic, especially given the multiple chapters about it in the first arc. Technically not a plot hole though just unmentioned, easily addressed with a casual explanation, just want to know what it's affects were.
The second point however is a definite plot hole as when he chooses his cultivation techniques and methods he gets three techniques, a sword art, movement art and a defensive art. The first two are constantly used and trained as expected but the defensive art basically disappeared never to be seen again. Not a major problem, just edit it out at that poin - InuzaruRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The MC dont enter worlds from animes or video games and things like that. He is not super edgy, more like chill and detach.
There is harem, the girls are not the best but far from the worse i have read. The sex parts are in seperate chapters and point out.
The worlds so far are not super developed, more of a stop point to get stronger, but i think the next world will be the "main one".
I like the story, good job author.
