Description

AI creation is something that has been on the minds of people for decades. The concept of artificial minds learning just like us. Maybe even better than us. This idea is something people have strived to make more than conceptual. But, they have failed.Until now.

This is an edited version of another fiction of mine.

Figured I might as well pop a review out after having finished book one...because no one else seems to have reviewed that far into the story yet and the score seems to be dropping distressingly low.
Speaking as someone who has read 270+ chapters into this story - and will continue to read till its hopeful end - this story does quite a few things well and is definitely deserving of being read.
As a TLDR for what a huge portion of the story has to offer - It's slice of life with most of the characters being sadists and one being an alien intelligence.
    For a more in-depth description.
The biggest draw is in its obvious AI. DrBruller has done a phenomenal job making Adam feel like a true "Artificial Mind". Throughout the story the AI grows and learns starting off with many misconceptions - some humourous, some interesting. Over time he learns the nuance of sarcasm and becomes able to second guess himself or decide if someone is lying to him AND THEN. because of his perfect memory is able to analyze old conversations and realize all the times in the past he was lied to.
But this story isn't just about an AI. There's the second/slow burn story that can be loosely described as "the plot".
Because of how long of a time span the plot happens over, it can be easy to decide there is none near the start - or to suggest alot of the slice of life portions could be removed to speed run the "plot"...but I find it really hard to point to a specific point that should be cut to improve the story. There's no one scene that jumps out to me as being unessisary because I'm sure the only reason I care about what happens to some of the characters is how much time has been spent on them beforehand.
if this story was streamlined to remove "slice of life" portions, then the "plot" portions wouldn't hit nearly as hard as they do. I don't even want to spoil them because without caring about the characters stuff happens to it's not even that big of a deal.
At the end of the day Artificial Mind is

It is about a guy going to work every day.
Yes, his job is in a futuristic fantastic setting, but it is still a day job in the end. The water cooling talk, the canteen, the innane office "drama", the paperwork and deadlines. Day after day. To work, lunch, more work, sleep. Repeat, repeat, repeat.
Its amazing how "the future" with brain implants and AI and shit could be so boring to read.
Its chapter 43, and its still a day job. The AI perspective is mildly amuzing, but only so much. If anything resembling a plot happens later on, I am not going to read about it, I am sorry.
P.S. I went and looked up if I read any previous works by the same author, and in fact I did - "The Ancient Core". Hence, I thought it would be fair to include a remark that "I am an artificial mind" is a notable improvement in the writing ability, specifically the characters (both MC and the others) are interesting and have a unique feel about them.
