  Seems like start of this story is centered around a theme of introduction to a class a new transfer student - unusual-looking, cold-behaving female.
  This story seems to be sci-fi-ish - set in our world, in a future, after "fifth world war", and it seems like enough time have passed for society to stabilize. Global fallout from war is a thing - environment is unhabbital for normal humans, so to keep going, all humans at that day undergo skin surgery that sounds waguely-genetic-ralated, but actually is about sticking in skin blocks of programmable cells and order them to grow in new structures resistant to environment hazards.
  It seems like this surgery make them look like beastkin, based on at least a bat (and maybe there are more varieties? Not enough info. Maybe there will be furries, maybe not. And yeah, extent of beastification is not mentioned too - is it ears only or something more? Truly, a mystery.)
  Multicolored text is... unexpectedly charming. And unexpectedly functional. Although, some rogue paragraphs make it apparent that author might benefit from learning about accessibility and contrast ratio.

  Because for light-yellow fg you need dark bg. Or sharp eyes, full color sence and good monitor.
