Hi everyone! Okay, so the inclusion terms for KU have finally expired, I've removed it and brought it back as people asked.I'll start launching it again from today, with 5 chapters today and a chapter a day until the full series is done. If you want to read the whole story, you can find it on Amazon or on my patreon at any time, hope you enjoy it.-JezBlood, chrome and betrayal.Sergeant Harry Kabutt has seen better days. He's been shot down, blown up, and then tossed to the wayside by the corporations, left to rot in a ratty apartment in gang territory. His own limbs? Shredded, cut away, and left to rot on a mountainside. The replacement mods? Likely to fall apart or leave him to die in sepsis. No longer an operator of the feared APS mecha, Kabutt has hit rock bottom. He’s on foot, he’s armed, and he’s in serious pain……so, now it’s time to spread that pain around the mega-city of Artem, see who flinches first.Revenge never goes out of fashion

- rodeogirl1203Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This by far and away the best story I am folowing! I am sorry that this bullshit is happening and I hope you can get ths straitened out and the poser that is trying to steal you work is burned and banned. Good luck, You are an outstanding writer. guess I need a few more words to make the minimum post.
- moulder666Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Okay. This might come out a little rambling, but damnit, I love this story. Amazing, dark, bloody and gritty cyberpunk LitRPG here, with the very-much-not-a-hero going up against powers that are way bigger than him. Just like Cyberpunk should be.
There are so many things to love about cyberpunk. Oppression from the big corporations. Visible, insane mods, fake limbs and implants that can turn people into killing machines. Hacking and cyber shenanigans.
This story takes it darker than most cyberpunk stories, though. Where I'm pretty used to our "heroes" starting from below, the MC here hits rock bottom and then goes a step further than that. And then he doesn't shy back from violence and his methods in getting back. At all.
Still, there's plenty of humanity and humor here. The MC is just struggling to get back what he had and reunite with his old soldier comrades, and he won't shy from anything.
The MC, to begin with, seems pretty simple and hyper focused on his one goal, but as the story unfolds, he also grows with it, rolls with the punches and takes on any comers.
Some of the banter is just downright excellent, as are a lot of the side characters. I have to admit, though, what really sells this for me? It's the action! Kabutt has no mercy and he does NOT hold back. He's the honey badger of MCs. Door locked? He'll tear through the wall. Wall reinforced? He'll blow up the damn building. The combat is excellent, violent and... sometimes just goddamn insane.
Loving it. More please! - ChipAndDipRatioRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0"From start to finish, this book had me on the edge of my seat. The worldbuilding is incredibly immersive, transporting the reader into a post-apocalyptic underground city filled with danger and intrigue. The characters are well-developed, each with their own unique strengths and weaknesses, making them relatable and easy to root for. The action is intense and fast-paced, with every encounter leaving me wondering if the protagonists would make it out alive. The themes of survival, sacrifice, and redemption are woven seamlessly into the plot, giving the story a depth and complexity that kept me thinking long after I finished reading. Overall, this is a thrilling and engaging read that I highly recommend to fans of post-apocalyptic and dystopian fiction."
- JohnDelvfarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am following 6 Cyber punk stories fight now and I am enjoying this one thoroughly!
It is very fast paced gritty hi and low tech, with a cast of characters both generic and detailed, a history rich location full of opportunity to advance.
The plot is both familiar and fresh to engage ones imagination!
All in all a fun read and I am looking forward to what comes next! - JolligreenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A thoroughly enjoyable and high quality piece of cyberpunk with a compelling and complex MC who makes believable mistakes without being written into a cringey corner, interesting and complex comrades, enemies who are, well, sometimes lacking in dimension but certainly worth struggling against, and excellent pacing & plot. One of the better reads on RR in this genre.
- LordB13Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I followed the link from the litrpg legion facebook page and I am not sorry. Cyberpunk is dark and gritty with a load of pain and suffering needed to get to the top of the pile. The bonus is that there are 4 of these stories working in the same "world" by different authors. I already own every book Jez has put out so now I can get a daily does of his writing here.
- Lurker LuuuurkRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Tired of cowardly MCs that hide behind excuses while making decisions based off of logic that is veiled bias at best ?
Want to read about a hot tempered MC who's had enough bullshit and ready to kick even more ass ? Who actually gets even ? And all to the sound of (possibly zz top) in the background?
Well congratulations. Get some ! - NecrotyrRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0... good thing he's a hardy cockroach that just keeps rolling with the punches :)
The story keeps you on the edge of the seat the entire time with action and corpo treachery.
Highly recommend the story for lovers of dystopian cyberpunk settings.
Really liked reading book 1 and I look forward to book 2. - SinkyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0So Artem is a shared universe. One which I am also writing, so you might think well this review is a swap or a plant. It’s not. That’s why I’m putting it out there to begin with.
I was a huge fan of Jez Cajiao’s writing before I got to know him through the fellowship of authoring. I have read or listened to all of his books, because I love them and for no other reason.
If his books were dull as shit, I just wouldn’t read them, even if I do know the bloke. So that leads me to my honest review of Artem: Revenant.
Let’s get the boring bit out of the way first. Grammar is solid throughout. I experienced no immersion breaking issues.
The story is dark, gritty and brutal. There are mysteries to be solved, crosses that are doubled, and Kabutt is an absolute arsehole which he needs to be in this world. Combined with mods and nanites and a great tour of the worst parts of the city of Artem, both above and below ground it is just a brilliantly envisaged cyberpunk world and story.
Edge of your seat stuff that I can’t recommend enough!
Check it out and see for yourself! - SnandersonRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really enjoying this story. MC is gritty and determined to work against the injustice dished out to him. Interesting world building. Love how it's in the same world as some other stories, which I am also enjoying.
looking forward to seeing how he pulls himself out of the hole he's been pushed into
