- Tido01Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The world has pretty much been destroyed. Our hero through bad luck has been sent back to his old self to try to save mankind. His only problem is that he isn't the hero, he was relegated to being an assistant due to jealousy and treachery. Now how will he claw enough support to overcome the hell to arrive soon.
- XtraRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It's entertaining. It could be better but it is definitely worth a read. It also sets up multiple female characters as potential love interests but the male protagonist is the usual dense platonic relationship guy. It doesn't bother me and doesn't get in the way of the story and served as a small comic relief sometimes.
- DekkardRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I actually started this story when the first book came out on audible, then had to read the next book on kindle, then had to come here to start book 3.
I know some might be bummed about missing the first 2 books on RR (as of this review), but this is actually one of the best Regressor type stories I've read. Honestly I can't find much to say because the fact that I couldn't wait for the next book to come to audible should be an accurate enough representation on how good this book is.
But I will try to put in aspects of this story that people might want make their decision on this book. (Terribly worded but..)
Harem?: No, potentially possible, but as of early book 3, no.
MC: Focused, basically to the point of tunnel vision for his mission. But generally kind when he feels like he can afford it. He will make stupid decisions, but like a real person will occasionally make stupid decisions.
Other Characters: There are some great supporting characters (The Gym folk)
Humor: Has made me laugh multiple times, but I wouldn't consider it a comedy.
Grammar/Spelling Errors: Minimal, I honestly can't remember any, And am just assuming there were a couple somewhere.
That is all I think I can fairly describe, vague things like character growth or worldbuilding which people like to throw around, I don't think I can judge. Mainly because I disagree with so many of the people that start complaining about it in stories. - DrironbunnyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Has a bit of everything that a good litrpg needs.
Some stats, but not too much to be annoying.
Good character progression, including side characters.
Good story imo, it's time travel based and well done.
I really enjoyed this story and am eager to continue!
(You know when a story just grabs you and you don't want to put it down? Well this book did that to me,.enjoy!!) - Lord LJRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great story line. So far characters have made good decisions. Enjoyable and well worth keeping up with if you enjoy the first 10 chapters the rest flows better and better. Overall I would say it's a good concept we'll flushed out and does show the changes from future knowledge that affects events as the unfold.
- LordB13Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I showed up for the free cookies and got hooked by the deets. MC tossed back in time hoping to stop the Apoc of dungeon breaks destined to wipe out mankind. The MC doesnt pop back and get infinite phenomenal cosmic powers. He does seem to have some luck on his side. There is decent spelling and punctuation so its already easing the burden on my poor brain.
- MorningDawnRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The first two books are on kindle - highly recommend them, I read them both and then came here to check out whether there was any more.
My thoughts on the story? I'd say it's a solid, comfy time regression story. In these stories, I feel like so often the main character uses their future knowledge to just steal everything from under everyone's noses and become all powerful, to deal with other all powerful people. And it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, which I thankfully haven't gotten in this. Anyway, without trying to give the game away there's a heavy vibe similar to mob psycho 100, which I found really enjoyable. Nice characters, in a story that's well put together.
Thank you for writing this! - UnitrooperRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Caught up in a week, just had to, for all the existing regression and apocolapyse tropes, this has been one of those stories to stick out for me.
There's so much material to work with and trying to balance everything out must be hard, but it's working and I love all the juggling involved.
I imagine there's so much more you could include with how open the world feels, but if done, this could go over many more books than planned. So, I'm prepared to get less books than I would have hoped for, but, I will be here until the ride is over.
Cheers! - TarlReyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0If you enjoy Apocalypse stories or Regression stories, then this series is definitely for you! The characters are smart and distinct. The team building and guild building aspects are incredibly fun, as are the fight scenes with all kinds of bad guys - be they monsters or humans. The series hooks you after just a few chapters, I strongly recommend you give this series a try!
- CharactermoodRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5MC isn't an archetypal 'hero', but was forced to go back in time with the hope of saving humanity. At the time of writing, I've read through the first book and about half of the second.
Some things to expect:
-lots of training. MC is an ultimate gym bro
-smart MC but not omniscient
-strong MC but not overpowered
Overall I would recommend it.
