I did not read the original version, but this version has phenomenal characters with good motivations, an intriguing plot-line of "We're the villains, but we're not the bad guys," and it oozes style. Dorian Skeil is such a fun MC, and seeing the Isekai process from the perspective of a character who's already peaked as an adventurer is super engaging.
More importantly than all that, though, Logarythm has a sense of humor and urgency in their writing that just hooks you. It's fun. Really fun.

...Are you in the cult yet? - NewcrestRoyal Road★★ 2.0I usually don't do a full review and only do an overall score. But I did read the original version and fill like I need to say something. The original version had great world building with interesting characters and good passing. This version so far has none of that turning this once overall great five star story to average run of the mill story. I do hope it will get better, but I won't be surprised if theirs a version three down the road.
