Apex Short Stories

In the Galactic Union, Civilization is considered to be the natural progression of the Herd Mentality when a species achieves sapience.  Because predators, at best, develop only a Pack Mentality instead, it follows that it is impossible for a sapient predator species to form the bonds necessary to truly be a member of society.

In all of Union history, there has never been a case to contradict this, and it was considered unquestionable fact.

And then they met a Human, a species from a planet so deadly that the hyper-predators simultaneously evolved a herd mentality.

Apex is a series of short stories following the titular Agent Apex, Ashley Jones, the sole human in the Galactic Union, and her dealings with both their society and the preds that threaten it.

It has no relation to the video game franchise of the same name and is a completely original work.

Stories are episodic and not presented in any chronological order, but in the order that they were written.  New stories are released as I come up with them, with no set schedule, so follow if you want updates when a new one drops!
