- SofaKingRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Don't let the silliness of the summary make you think that this isn't a seriously thought out story. After reading it I can definitely say, that while it is absolutely hilarious in moments, it isn't purely for laughs. I can't remember a moment in the story where I thought a joke was at the expense of the story or the character's development. It has a an incredibly well fleshed out story and world as of where I am in the story. This is genuinely the best cultivation based story I have ever read. I'm fact it's makes it to the top 10 or so of ANY story I've read! I hope the author keeps up the amazing work!
- DraconisViridisRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Xianxa? Isekai? Common sense? Now when did they ever go together? This, fellow readers is where they go together. This is a wonderful, blood coughing, face-slapping, common-sensical approach to the cultivation world isekai! Gloriously refreshing satire! Oh, the wonder of a supporting character who can string multiple-syllable words together into a cohesive insult! The extravagance of an MC who can make a logical argument! The beauty of logical application of feline language! At this point I must emphatically state: "Meow!" [Read this now]
- Just Your Random ReaderRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love it, stories totally hilarious and goes against all xianxia tropes like there are literal mentions of the main character noticing tumble weeds in like awkward silence scenarios. Like this is like one of the best novels here in the xianxia genre, you deserve more attention and your like grammar and wording is like really good too.
Once again thanks for writing binged read it all at once - KaisynRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story plays greatly on the stereotypes that appear in your typical xianxia/wuxia novel. Whilst doing so, it also manages to stay coherent and continously dish out a satisfactory comedic experience.
The story itself, I'd say that it's here and there. It's good, flows alright but when really looked at is just standard. It's good enough for what this novel focuses on and that would be the characters.
The characters, you have ALL the stereotypes. Hidden master, arrogant young masters, rich friends. All of them. The MC however, is NOT. This MC is the most straightforward, petty and sensical MC you can find in a xianxia/wuxia. Problem case? MC tries their best to avoid it. Hidden old master being obvious? MC immediately tries to secure mentorship. Arrogant young master? Faces will be slapped.
It's ridiculous how fast the MC grows in power but it is explained and, as the story develops, you begin to see the underside to all that delicious comedy.
The style naturally secures that 5 star rating given the wonderful execution of comedy and story. Normally, a book does one or the other and fails both. This story does not.
Grammar is legible but my bar on that is extraordinarily low so if it's readable, it gets the pass.
Keep going author, your story is magnificent. - LazyFleshRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0In my history of reading cultivation, no, any novel, I have found myself detesting the common tropes. This is mostly because of repetitiveness, which I also hate. This novel breaks that. And I love it for it. It starts questioning things that are the reader usually questions. The character growth is impressive, and the author is active on discord. I am in love with this novel and what it will become. And hopefully, this becomes the first of many novels. Novels that are hopefully not carbon copies of ecahother.

sorry for this spoiler, its not actually part of the reveiw, I just needed to fill hte rest of the 200 minimum words.
In any case, I love this novel, and hopefull and AVID cultivation novel admireres will as well.
Now, for the actual word spam: this is best novel, you should read too, share this suppport for the author, make a reveiw here too, sicne royal road is a popular reading website, novels here are sure to take off with proper support. and i got confirmation from the author himslef that if he manages to support himself on writing alone, the chapter upload will increase to two per day. - PhotemyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overview:
The novel is exactly as the summary wants to deliver it - a funny, somewhat satyrical story set in a cultivation world.
Style:
This is one of those aspects that is completely subjective, I have no way to give an accurate statement on this, so my personal opinions will have to make do.
As far as style is concerned, I divide it into mainly four parts: Pacing, POV shifts, Exposition, and Dialogue.
Pacing:
The story attempts to keep a good fast pace, but succumbs to one of the many pitfalls of the genre: too many competing subplots.
This, in and of itself, is not an issue, but as the premise does not focus on these, the main overarching plotline slows to a crawl as a result.
POV shifts:
Negligable, the amount of chapters not focusing on the main character and his entourage is minimal, and restricted to important moments only.
Exposition:
Most of it is done through dialogue and descriptions of immediate surroundings, a good thing in my book.
There are some drawbacks to this though, at one point of the story I started erronously believing that everything was in an enormous cavern, and the story did little to correct this (or I skimped over what little it did say), and by the time I realised the image was firmly cemented in my head.
Pay attention to what is told, it might not again be told again for a long time.
Dialogue:
No issues that I could find, it's easy to determine who is talking at any point, and that's mostly all that's needed for this point.
Grammar:
It does all it needs to, and there are no points where I noticed any glaring issues. If there were any, I completely skimped over them because of how negligable they were.
The story does not use any fancy language however, should that be a problem.
Story:
Little can be said here without some extreme amount of spoilers which I'd rather avoid.
The main plotline is quite fine (be as underdeveloped as it may, see pacing), and all the subplots are quite interesting when they come up.
Some can hibernate for a bi - 3TimRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This seems like it's hit or miss for most people.
If you see this review, just ask yourself if you want to try something that may give you a ton of laughs. If you say yes, start reading. If no, flag it for reading later. This is something you shouldn't allow yourself to skip (without trying it) due to ratings or reviews.
But, if you're new to this cultivation type setting, I'd advise waiting a year or so and then giving this a try. Some of the jokes won't land otherwise. If you don't know about truck-kun you probably aren't ready for something that borders on satire. - VoxolRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I initially read a few chapters because of how ridiculous the title was but in the end, I was drowned in the rabbit hole and the next day I had finished every chapter released.
If you want to know what you are in for, an mc that uses logic to make arrogant cultivators cough blood, and it's great. - karolajRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I love this story, I read it on Hosted Novel until you went dark last September. I'm glad to see you on RR, but chapters 92-98 are out of order and chapters 99-283 are missing completely. I'd really appreciate being able to reread everything to refresh my memory. Thanks for writing!
