Description

A soul who died just in time to enter a brand new world. A man who spent all his life reading of fantastical worlds filled with magic and adventure will finally get to live his dream. To be a hero? No. To explore the world and find adventure? No. He's a forever DM who loves creating adventure for others! Now reincarnated as Dungeon Core in a brand new world and with a system that's actually helpful, he will live out his dream of creating a sense of wonder and accomplishment in those who dive his depths.

This is my first story on RR and my first real attempt at writing. I'm mostly doing it for myself, but a part of that is publishing it for others. Most of the tags are to ensure creative freedom and that I don't accidently break any rules, however there will never be any explicit `rated X` scenes in this fiction.

I'm loving this book already, while it doesn't have the usual stakes you would typically find in a dungeon core novel it instead shows what a dungeon can do when not so limited by its circumstances, while still having high stakes for those outside. So I can't wait for more and more chapters to be released.
This has already become one of my favourite books on this site, and reading a new chapter a highlight of my day!

This story went from "this is an interesting concept" to one of my favorite dungeon stories in a heartbeat.
I'm a sucker for dungeon stories, but I've always enjoyed the world building and relationships/character development parts the most. Especially how dungeons interact with their delvers and local communities, or what impact they have on the world around them.
The initial concept from the synopsis made me hopeful that this story would have a bigger focus on them, and boy did it it deliver (so far at least^^).
If you enjoy more chill dungeon stories like "There is no Epic Loot here, Only Puns" "Dungeon Life" or "Dungeon without a System" I highly recommend giving this a read.

I hadn't expected a story this good when I started reading. The author made a significant deviation from the style normal dungeon core stories in this work, although it's a little subtle at first. The viewpoint dungeon is of a special variety that has the choice to skip a lot of the usual limitations such as an exposed core or even a threat from delvers at all. This, together with a system integration capability, allows him to create actual quests for delvers and masquerade as a reawakened ancient dungeon while having fun creating an immersive experience for the adventurers. He also weakens the threat of permanent death by enabling limited respawns, although they're still not free or without some risk of running out.
I like the general storyline being created. There's a nice focus on dungeon building and what the adventurers are doing, with an increasing view of how an OP dungeon is slowly drawing in the vortex of political interest to the region. With an absurd mana limit and no threat of death (for the core), this story is able to focus on the most fun elements of a dungeon story, while the (threats to the) stability of his plans, the adventurers' battles, and a dawning hint of something more behind the system keep an overall plot moving forward as well. The first few chapters are a little rough and I had some issues slogging through them, but the storyline opened up afterward and became a more consistent quality. It's initially very dense and somewhat more tell than show, but this gets better after chapter 4 or 5 as more starts happening.
The characters are the other draw to this story. They're very well-written and quite on theme (for whatever they're supposed to be, even the one-off viewpoints when the bosses are picking names for their areas). The adventurers have organic backstories which are slowly revealed as we read more of them, which is quite nice. The dungeon creatures seem slightly too normal, considering that they're either animals or some form of spi

Honestly, this is the first book I've read on royal road. I'm at Interlude: A Day in the Dungeon I as of this moment and so far I've loved the story. It's a nice read and the author manages to make pov changes not as annoying as I've found it to be in other books on sites like Webnovel.
Originally, I started reading this book so as to get an idea as to what's popular and good on here since I'm transitioning over from Webnovel as an author, but honestly... I'm really impressed. By chapter 3 I was reading more for my own entertainment than anything else. There were some errors here and there from what I remember so far, but since it's his first book I'm gonna give him a bit of credit and raise what would be a 4-star rating directly to a 5-star. I look forward to more chapters for this book. This book made a really good first impression for someone new to royal road! i'm going to begin reading some other books now but I'll check back in a week for more chapters. Keep it up man!

The story is good, actually it's so good that I can't wait for the next chapter. It's exciting and I like how it make me feel like I'm a thinker at the same time as some laid back. Overall it's one of my favorite stories so far(which are very few actually), keep it up though. Waiting for the next update!

I love this novel and can't get enough of it ever since I stumbled upon it I've read it every second I can get the chance to. While I personally am in love with the dungeon core novel experience this by far has been my favorite.
By far the best part about the novel is the author's creative mind that comes up with problems for the characters in the story and gives them work around that lead to beautiful character development while not making it seem so hollow allowing for a well rounded and beautifully crafted world to come alive within the dungeon as well as outside of its borders.
Often times the building and construction of the dungeon peters out and becomes less descriptive but this whole novel so far has proved to be the opposite. Even when switching to different character povs the focus is largely on eloquently and descriptively giving the reader a view of the dungeon and I'm in love with it.
In many of the dungeon novels I've read as the creative juices of the authors begin to flow thin the story reflects that and stops however with what I've seen from this novel so far and the brief description the author gave us in their synopsis I'm hoping it comes to a conclusion rather than a halting and unending hiatus like so many of its predecessors.

At the beginning, there were multiple grammar mistakes, and the style is basically nonexistent.  All the characters feel lifeless and artificial, with no personality of their own.  This problem eventually gets fixed, the characters slowly coming to life.  Wyla and Amy, for example, never had the problem.  Disappointingly, the floor 2 reveal (to the characters) was deeply unsatisfying, the unique floor seemingly downright common to Ava's Own and the guildmaster.  One of the main reasons I love dungeon core stories are the MC doing something unprecedented and the ramifications they bring, neither of which was really present in that reveal.  A single line from the guildmaster pondering how spiritkin were made was the only real reaction.  The premise is uniquely suited for the MC to do literally whatever they want, and yet it feels like whatever he does is unremarkable.  I hope this gets remedied with the reveal of the 6th floor, but judging by the "communication with local authorities"(another favorite part) this will be better.
The story is still being set up, and the dungeon hasn't really done anything kingdom-shaking yet (gotta start small after all), so I'll hold off on judgement in this area.  The setup is promising though.
If you want more of this kind of story, check out "the dungeon without a system."  Similar premise, in that the MC is immensely powerful, but he's not a literal god.  He was never in danger from humans at any point.  Other dungeons are supposedly just as powerful, but their lack of intelligence and system prevents them from effectively utilizing their incredible resources.  That story pulls off the whole "wowing the locals" thing much better.

The first few chapters are a bit infodumpy and feel kinda meh but after those it gains momentum. It is a basic dungeon story tho if you dont like those don't bother.
I always like the accelerated time and mob dynamics so i hope the author keeps this going.
Sometimes the 50 words review thing is too much.
