This along with Young Master Template and A very cliche Xianxia Harem story form a trifecta of great xianxia with underwhelming titles.
Back when I first started reading xianxia novels I didnt really know anything about chinese mythology and all the lore and cool techniques and world building from the earliest xianxia novels I read made me fall in love with this genre.
Nowadays it has unfortunately turned into a borderline ai generated dopamine chase thats basically two or three different acts on repeat for hundreds of chapters. This novel however gave me the same feelings as reading my first xianxia novel.
The characters are also great. Sure the Protagonist has issues but it's well addressed and I kinda like him even with his flaws.
I really have come to love this novel. One of the best on RR and I would even say one of the best xianxia novels in general. Reading this was like reading my first xianxia novel with all its flaws. I love the main character and the female lead as well as the cool world building and overall plotline.
I was happy reading this and hope for more, and to me that's all that matters.

Lovely for sitting back and relaxing your tired mind while still wanting to enjoy something. As promised, you're unburdened by thick and complex plots, complex descriptions... all the while avoiding being comical and ridiculous.
Better still is getting to see the author's improvement in writing over the course of the story, while there are still at times a dull amount of telling without much showing, there is enough to be satisfied in the story while still wanting to come back for more at the end of reading. Overall a light, enjoyable read.

This tale has all the classic elements you want from a cultivation story. Higher realms, secret tecniques, opaque cultivation levels, arrogant sects and most of all, jade beauties everywhere.
So far it's been a very decent story, grabbing one's interest and also having quite nice chemistry between the male lead and a female character.
One to keep an eye on to scratch that classic cultivation story itch...

Rocky start but gets better every chapter. Brief summary:
This story has the feel of those popular cultivation stories once they finally decide to bounce from their original world/realm.
Long story short, mass effect meets cultivation without that technology, nanobot, animal people nonsense found in that other popular cultivation story.
This story gives vibes of Rick and Morty, Rurouni Kenshin, and House, and while I could get more into why or how, I don’t have it in me to write another essay.
Short and sweet: The story subtly makes you care more about the assorted cast and prevents the MC from dominating the all scenes with the answer or miracles.
Not to say there’s no cliches or tropes- but it’s more tastefully done than 80% of other cultivation stories.
I take a star off for the whole romance aspect, and the lack of meaningful descriptions of people. What exactly is kingdom shattering beauty? How can you describe a character as dark hair and that? I have a better idea of what the aliens look like than the main side characters, lol.

This is an interesting story but I would of preferred to have seen the groth of the mc and how he learnt how to use his 'cheat'.
Grammar is very good and I haven't spotted any obvious mistakes. Also har to keep track of realms of power(for me at least).
6/10 so far. So above the average of what you'd find on royal road. (Would be higher but once again there is not much explanation for the MC's background)

This truly is another clique cultivation story, right down to the poor grammatical errors that plague so many potentially great stories.
if you can push past the choppy writing this story really does have all of those typical tropes of a classic web novel on cultivation.
I enjoyed the story line however struggled to connect with any characters. Could do with a polish

It is popcorn of the highest level, like it claims to be, BUT its also not particulalrly well written. Grammar and sentence strutcture could be a whole lot better, its written in an overexplaining, redundancy-bloated style that I find particularly grating.
And it also has failed to properly set up the MC of all things,  I get wanting to get to where the MC is already OP faster, but its Xianxia Power Wank, and the barebones you need to acconplish for it is that you gotta AT LEAST make your MC, if not relatable, at minimum engaging. Which didn't happen, underdog starts are one of the biggest cliches for a very good reason.
Overall, its what I'd call "webnovel" quality, its readable, but it fails where it really needs to suceed if you want to write popcorn xianxia, either engaging characters and premise, or PERFECT grammer if you're going full textbook cardboard cuttout plot and characters.

If it weren't for the overusage of povs unrelated to the mc, I think this novel would be a 4/5. However the novel had to stay true to the xianxia cliche of multiple povs who in the grand scheme of things bring nothing but filler content. It would be much more interesting to have additional mc pov chapters as opposed to useless non-mc chapters that do little other than slightly add to the world building.
If you are able to pull through the non-mc pov chapters than I would actually recommend this novel. The world and character are interesting, and it ticks the box of an op mc.

The blurb for this made it sound like it was going to be a satire, but it's really not, it's exactly what it says on the tin. And where a story like that could at least have fun, this story goes absolutely nowhere and the protagonist is an absolute prick (and not in a funny way like certain anti-hero protagonists are). Skip.
