In general I've long since gotten bored with the harem genre, but after loving the authors other fiction Re: Trailer Trash and a few of the other reviews for this I decided to give it a go.
And I'm so glad I did. This is a fantastic subversion of the harem trope that spends a serious amount if time building character depth and telling the story from the girls pov. The story takes its time getting to the sex and it's a solid payoff and really well written.
It's on hiatus here but the author is still working on it and has recently posted fresh chapters on their patreon so it's not an MIA story that will never be finished.
It's great, you should read it.

Just started reading, but I have to say that i’m pretty impressed. Especially with how the characters and dialogue are actually fleshed out. A lot of the stories I have seen on this site end up with the aforementioned being particularly superficial.

As a harem lover, I've browsed a significant amount of harem stories. Some I loved, some I enjoyed a bit, and some that I just couldn't stand.
This story right here is the example that I'll use from now on, if I were to give an example of a perfect harem story to a friend.
    Story:
Telling the story of Brian, a good-natured guy who was recently left by his now ex-girlfriend, who became a feminst extremist, abused and gaslighted him and went away to make him even more miserable.
He then gets told by his "childhood best friend" (we all know where that leads in harem stories) to go have fun at a convention and get over it, which he does.
Oh boy, the pacing, the dialogue, the descriptions and everything! I've never experienced pretty much any of these situations and events, and yet the emotions I felt were so strong it stopped me from getting any sleep.
    Style:
Written like an expert. Seriously, I feel like if I showed this to one of my teachers, they'd cry.
    Grammar:
Only ever noticed a single mistake, and even then just barely.
    Characters:
The core of any good harem story, the characters. If you can't empathize and feel for them, you've done something wrong.
And boy has FortySixtyFour done it right.
Starting with the antagonist, the main reason I'm freaking out over this story.
As a character, I love her. She's a great antagonist, and definitely fits in the story. As a person however, I hate her. An antagonist that is good as a character, and yet still hated, now that's an antagonist! Whenever I read her dialogue, I could feel my heartrate going haywire, as if my body was preparing to chase someone!
The harem members are all amazing as well! You could empathize with them, and feel like you care for them like you're Brian yourself!
    Conclusion:
Considering the fact that I'm even writing a review in the first place, passionately even, something that school couldn't make me do with any of their things, speaks volumes.
If you like harem stories, read it.
    If you don't, read it

I have been binge reading, losing sleep, with colors swirling inside. Now I feel like a protagonist in the story, achingly in need, despondent from reflecting on my own life, tears flowing.
5/5 for making me feel like love is possible, even when all else seem dark.
Eagerly awaiting the next chapter, thank you writing this!

I had started reading this on the MC Stories site but had assumed it was a dead story since it hadn't been updated in years there so finding out it has still been going was a relief, since it was one of my favorite stories on the site.
I'm glad I found it again.

This was some poggers content. I must say that i never thought a harem story could make me entranced, angry and sad at the same time. Was so invested i failed to even pop a stiffy. Keep writing this, i will keep reading it and the world will be a better place.

A story I checked out on a whim and wow. When you read though it all your left wanting more of this ongoing story. The characters are well written as well their devlopment and interactions with each other. Whats also nice is the charm is more like a push in the right direction rather than being forced. Brian and Stephanie for example would have been compatable even without the charm so its more so helping them push forward from what holds them back along with Kelly's actions. The story is deep with great character development between Brian, Stephanie and Kelly. Every time the antagonist Chloe shows up she cleary reminds you why she's so hateable.
If your thinking about reading this story just go for it you won't regret it. Just don't lose track of time its like a good book you don't wann put down but its still ongoing.
Hope the next part comes soon. That cliffhanger O_O

If you manage to forget all the harem stories (about 99% of them) youve read, you are in for a wondrous ride. If you cant, then prepare, because this little story will shake your World.
The cover page summary does not do the story justice. Its like staying Star Wars is about the rebels trying to win against the empire. Its correct, but it MISSES SO MUCH. 4064, please hire someone for this next time.
Reléase is slow, but there are lots of extra chapter on Patreon for $1
The only weakness is how deranged the villain is. Shes already built up herself during the relationship, but for readers it would be good to see some progress on that side, whichever route the autor decides on.

This is honestly how I feel about this story, others might feel differently of course, but to me, this is the closest to the epitome of what a Harem story should be. I've read hundreds of Harem stories, ranging from good to downright insipid, and this one is the creme de la creme. The chemistry between the characters, the vibrant personalities of everyone involved, and just how natural everything feels, really makes this story shine. The author really takes the time to flesh out each individual character, really diving deep into what makes each person a person.
The way each character plays off of each other, the building of the interpersonal relationships present in Brian's budding harem, is rarely, if ever, seen in any of the stories I've read, published, or otherwise. These characters are real, and I applaud the author for making me feel so strongly about each and every one of them.
    Especially Chloe. Fuck her.
At the end of the day, if you want a story that's focused on the characters and the relationships each character has with one another, and if you want to really feel like these are real human beings and not meat bags, this story is for you.
Another point in this Author's favor? Grammar is top-notch, something seldom seen in many published books of the same genre.
Now, stop reading this and read the damn story, you won't regret it.

I absolutely adore FortySixetyFour's writing style, the amount of attention to detail and effort that is put into it makes it a delight to read, another story that should be checked out is his other story called Trailer Trash on his patreon of the same name, really good. Sorry for the semi-advertisement!
