At first I wasn't sure if this novel would be worth the read, it has a few amateurish grammar mistakes, but I'm glad I looked past them. Once you get into it, this is a original and interesting dark fantasy story with flawed characters, an story rich in lore, and dark themes. If you're a fan of manga like Berserk and Attack on Titan, you'll probably like this tale, as it seems to be inspired by similar works.
The main character Prince Asher seems like a bad person at first, but you slowly begin to see the immense pressure and abuse he endures, and you realize why is like that. He soon sees the true nature of the kingdom, and decides to carve his own path despite his father disowning him. He meets many interesting supporting characters who have their own stories and motivations, and they interact well together. The most recent chapter introduced quite an interesting character: the noble Princess Arianna. I'm interested to see how their stories will intertwine, and I also enjoy her sidekick, the sweet and nice Charlotte.
This book begins with somewhat of a redemption arc, which is a new way to introduce this trope, as its usually reserved for later in a story. However, this book weaves it in naturally. Colin serves as a foil to Prince Asher, bringing a more carefree attitude into the strict Prince's world. I'm looking forward to seeing where this story takes me, and I hope the author releases some new chapters soon.

This story intrigued me from the beginning due to its world building and religious themes. The characters are nuanced and interesting, and its a welcome departure from the cliched “I just woke up in a new world” type of fantasy story. This tale seems to be taking things in a more serious direction with a low fantasy theme. I’m excited to see where it goes.

    Style: 5/5
The author has a fluid style with descriptive prose that easily allows the reader to envision the scene being set. I found it easy to read with very few errors throughout. Paragraphs are broken up nicely, and the dialogue is easy to distinguish who is speaking
    Story: 3/5
A few issues here for me personally. First, I felt like the story was a bit cliched. There’s nothing wrong with relying on tropes, however I felt like the plot elements were very forced. Second, the pacing was WAY too fast for my taste. Things happened far too quickly for me to connect with any of the characters or understand why they’re doing what they’re doing. The author could keep the same plot elements and extend it over twice as many chapters, using the extra space for more character development and world building and I think that would have helped me a lot. This is just my opinion, and I tend to prefer slower paced stories so take this commentary with a grain of salt.
    Grammar: 4.5/5
Solid stuff here, just a few missing commas etc. could easily get bumped up to a 5/5 with a run through an editing software. Definitely didn’t detract from the read! Nice job.
    Character: 3/5
Not good, not bad. With what we have, everyone feels like basic character tropes of well used characters. The loyal knight, the tortured prince, the evil king, and the witty and roguish enemy turned ally. The problem is that with the pacing of the story I have no time to understand their motivations or empathize with what they’re doing. The prince taking a peasant hostage right away makes me immediately not like him, and then his decision to not sacrifice a person seemed incongruous. Why is the King evil? Why does he immediately turn on his son? I need a reason for him to be so irrational otherwise it just doesn’t make sense to me. I’m sure there’s more depth to the characters that will come out later, but the story moves too fast for me to become invested in anyone.
In conclusion, this is a story that is well writt
