Description
In Yppath, Aethermold mages reign supreme, and just about every job has integrated magic in some form. From spellcasters to enchanters, every job could use some magic.
Balmung Decimation is an ambitious enchanter hoping to rise to the top of society, but he has something no one else does: his grandfather's legacy, and a can-do attitude.
------------------
Andwyrdan features an original, extensively-planned magic system that you get to explore along with Balmung.
This is my first story so feedback and criticism is encouraged! I'd love to know how I can improve the story as it's something I want to be as good as possible (seriously I have like 25 pages of worldbuilding notes). Because it's my first story I'm not sure how fast I'll be uploading, but expect lots of frequent but short chapters.

- David GilesRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0This is a very good story held back slightly by wall of text paragraphs. The magic system is well developed if a touch infodumped on the reader, and you can tell the author is very much in love with their worldbuilding.
The characters are a touch on the blank slate side but that seems more a result of a slow storytelling style rather than lack of thought by the author, sadly at time of review there really isn't much written yet.
The protagonist, Balmung Decimation, is fairly earnest and eager to learn, but beyond that there really isn't much to get the reader attached.
Despite this I thoroughly enjoyed what I read and believe with some light editing this could be a very good story indeed.
