Description

After 50 long years and a losing struggle against cancer, Gabriel the librarian returns to video games for the last time. He has his mind downloaded to Ancient Realms MMO, arguably the greatest VRMMORPG of all time. But with his class being a unique yet non-combat "analyst", how will he survive the roguelike labyrinth of a tutorial he must pass to succeed in the path of Champions? And how can he prosper once he reaches the main game? Find out with me, as we watch our adventurers grow: A shy shadowmancer, an edgy gunslinger, a spacial mage who specializes in dropping boulders on enemies, and an annoyingly observant Librarian.

I took a rather long break from writing, but I have returned! Expect regular weekly updates from now on.

    Nice things:
-the 'real' world story for the game and Gabriels character feel real
-Gabriel is interesting as a character, chapters are not very long but he has shown complexity and personality, eager to see how he develops
-Grammar and overall quality is good, I'm not the one to rage over slight typos but author does a good job in writing
Things to work on (in my opinion) :
-Short chapters aren't a bad thing, but they leave less room for development, it's an issue resolved with time cause with more chapters story will eventually expand
    - the other characters need more, for lack of a better word, character. Gabriel has more bone (his backstory and reason to be a "champion") and meat, we have a sense of what he is interested in and his strengths but at the same time he isnt perfect nor delusional, I hope we eventually will get to know and expand on the others to make them seem more genuine .
All that said, I will be following the progression, the premise is not ground-breaking but definitely interesting and has a unique spin cause he is not a fighter or crafter which is more common in LitRPG. Librarian against the world!
