An Impossible Ambition

In this story, power is everything. The strong pass on their abilities to a chosen successor, while the weak must take it from beasts or even other people. Seranesal, an imp summoned by a powerful wizard, is introduced to a new world where monsters are harvested for their strength.  She sets out to take all the power she can, no matter the cost.

As she struggles her way to the top, she must confront the consequences of her actions and the ethics of taking power from others. Will her thirst for power consume her, or will she find a new path forward?

I've always loved writing, but I hate practicing. If there's no objective at the end of the day, I just won't do it, even when I know I need to in order to improve. That's just how my brain works.This story is my practice, just my way of tricking my brain; I'll have bad grammar, flubbed details, and non-existent editing at release. The goal is to "write drunk, edit sober", so editing will be done later, probably at the end of each month, if I can stick to a schedule.
