This story does so many things well. Well developed characters with rich inner worlds and motivations? check. Viscerally horrifying monsters that hit that sweet spot in the uncanny valley? double check! Well written action scenes that perfectly balance clarity of motion with the characters thoughts and emotion? a hundred checks!
The only bit that dissapointed me at first turned out to be an intentional choice by the author with a fantastic payoff. The human antagonists, like Jenny's mom, come off a bit flat, but then we get an amazing interlude that absolutely fleshes her out why she acts that way, and it's a gentle reminder that we're seeing the world through the protagonist's eyes. She isn't a tradtional unreliable narrator in the sense that she lies, but she's not omniscient, and doesn't know what's going on inside other people's heads.
Overall my only complaint is that I found this story before there were more chapters out! I'll be breathlessly awaiting each new update, and I can't wait to see where the story goes. Highly, highly recommend!

Hey, so let me just be honest here. If you're reading this review, you've probably made up your mind about this story and you're just looking for evidence to support your decision to love it, hate it, or forget about it as soon as you close the tab. Or you're countingfoxes, in which case, Hi Count! Can I call you that? Or would you prefer Countess? I guess that latter would probably be more accurate, but it feels weird to shorten a name and then lengthen it.
If you're not Count(ess), then maybe you just have a few questions before you dive in? You know, important things like, "is it gay?", "Do the main characters need therapy both before and after the events of the story",  "Does it occasionally make you say 'well that was weird.' or 'oh dear', but in a good way?". Yes to all of these, person with oddly specific questions, you scamp.
"But Dragon", I hear you, the most unfortunate person saying, "shouldn't you be commenting on those four categories that RR wants you to talk about?" "Ah sweet summer child,", you’d hear me say, heart jumping into your throat. Where’d they come from?, "It doesn't matter. Someone else can tell you about 'How many prepositions she correctly placed' or 'How moved they were by Jenny taking longer to climb some stairs than an infomercial actor selling you a chair lift.'"  At this point, you who’s held onto your phone and find yourself still reading this review for some reason, you, who’s barricaded yourself behind a locked door, but it's a cheap, poorly constructed thing, and you who can still hear me on the other side. "This review is for two reasons, making the review numbers go up like all litRPG readers want and,"
"Are they getting louder?" You ask yourself, "how, it doesn't sound like they're shouting." Then with dread you realize I'm somehow behind you, in the room wearing a smile stretched too wide. You start trying to read faster, maybe if you get to the end before I finish talking, you can find out what's going on. "And amusing Coun

Only currently about halfway through the available chapters but already enjoying this read!
The story is zombie horror inspired but with video game elements with some slice of life mixed in. This doesn't go over the top with the standard horror tropes and is quite measured. It's written in a way that it's not overwhelming and the chapters are concise enough to give detail without feeling rushed.
The story currently retains an air of mystery and keeps you on the edge of your seat, even in the slower chapters. Overall it's very well written in a clear, easy to read style where you're not agonising over the authors intentions or feeling that each chapter requires rereading to find hidden meanings. I'm yet to find any questionable grammar or mistakes.
The characters are likable and a couple of chapters in you already find yourself rooting for them and wanting to find out more about them and the world they inhabit. The authors focus and time is spent on fleshing out areas that really matter, I don't think there are any characters that are introduced that wish you knew more about or that have more page time - the time is very well broken up between characters.
If you like a certain zombie inspired show currently airing on HBO, I think you will enjoy reading this story.

The pace and prose of this story leave you wanting more after each chapter.
The plot progresses nicely while leaving you with more questions and a thirst for understanding how this world works. The author gives you just enough nectar with each chapter to bring you back for more with the tongue in cheek meta-aware references in addition to the all too relatable character of Jenny.
    Can't wait for more!

The story is getting started and this is the best time to join in the reading! It's a dark and brutal story without going overboard with it. Adding in different aspects to keep it all together and enjoyable. If you're squamish then maybe the story isn't for you, but it's also far from the most extreme or most graphic story out there.
The characters are neuanced and developing. They make you invested and care for what's going on. I suspect there might be a lot of character deaths in the future. Which might make me scream in frustration when it comes. But I believe that if and when it comes to that it will be well written and serve to build the story even better.
The style is dark and distinct. I'm enjoying it immensely. The litrpg elements are kept at an appropriate amount, though I wouldn't really mind a deeper dive into the stats and skills at some points in the future. But for now it really helps with keeping a nice and enjoyable pace.
The grammar and structure is very good and I can't think of anything wrong there.
And lastly the story is showing tons of promise and I can't wait to see where it goes! 10/10 story so far :)

First of all, the protagonist is relatable from the first paragraph. The author does a good job of giving us a picture of her without belaboring the issue or getting bogged down with exposition.
Things get moving pretty quickly and the action is immediately harrowing. The angels are uncanny and deeply disturbing. The gore is descriptive enough to be unsettling without getting pornographic, I'd give it an R rating rather than NC-17.
Throughout, the author keeps a good pace, with just enough detail about the characters surroundings to set the scene. The game mechanics add a layer of the surreal to the whole thing. One could imagine Jenny questioning her sanity.
The occasional error aside, the author shows a strong command of mechanics, allowing them to induce tension through word usage and sentence length. Nevertheless, the style starts approachable and never feels florid or overworked.
The only thing that feels like it's missing at this point is development of the Susan character. We get that the protagonist is infatuated with her, but not much of a feel of what Susan is like on her own terms. Nothing to worry about, I'm sure she'll be fleshed out as we go.
Overall, this is a great start and I'm looking forward to reading more! Horror isn't usually my genre, but if I find more works like this that might change.

Interesting read with a sifferent point of view than most LitRPGs.
First off the descriotion of this being a horror is very accurate, and the angels/monsters are written to be creepy as all get out.  That being said the story is very much about the protagonist in the horror, and not about celebrating the horror part.
The characters are from a different background than most of the fictions on RR.  That is a good thing as diversity on stories is nice, and different slice of life is always interesting to read.
Grammar and punctuation are not an issue, as I don't remember anything too distracting.  It is on par with most of what is available on KU, and a lot better than some of the content on KU.
You can feel the authors real life struggles in the characters written, which brings an authenticity to the feeling.
To the author:  Keep up the good work, and know there are others going through the same thing.  While no one knows your exact struggle there are those you can lean on with the same challenges.

Damn, how even to begin. Spoilers ahead!
AHAAS (All his angels are starving) is a wonderful book, if you're into horror.
It absolutely stands up to the name and incorporates all types of horror. Body horror, mental horror, emotional horror. Angels are indeed starving fr.
It is obvious to me that the author has poured a lot of love and emotion, god, so much emotion, into this fiction and it really shows when reading. It will draw you in and take you on a horror-filled ride through a mission of survival and power progression that is both satisfying and terrible at the same time. The book is filled with intense suspense that will absolutely pull you from one chapter to the next, wondering when the pain and suffering will end for the MC and her friends yet almost hoping it won't so that they can continue to grow in power.
It does an excellent job of giving you a simultaneous dislike for the MC's enemies while having sympathy for their situations, which more often than not leads to a pained satisfaction at their demise.
TLDR; Read it, sit down, and read the whole thing in as short a time as you can manage. It is so, so worth it.

So far this is my favourite series on Royal Road. I didn't expect myself to be so damn engaged in a story. The characters have a lot of depth, but what really takes the cake is the plot, and how great the author conveys the direness of the situation they are in.
    Excellent series.

Firstly, let me complement the author on the choice of the Cover Art. That is a hauntingly beautiful picture that grabs the eye.  It grabbed mine and I read what I could even though it's not a genre I typically read.  Well worth whatever he paid.  It works.
Normally Horror is not my choice in genres while I DO enjoy the Magical Girl female leads, Isekai,  and progression stories in particular.  (Royal Road seems to specialize in them) So this would normally be what I would read.
I’m up to Chapter 36 and the pacing so far is good, but since most of the story thus far is in a war zone that’s to be expected.  Overall, the writing is very good.  The MC/Jenny, is well written while the side characters are good to confusing.
The game mechanics are done well without bashing the reader with too many busy tables of stats.  The World Building is good as well.  The fact that many/most of the other humans ignored or didn’t believe in the System is a nice touch.
    Spoiler :
The Horror aspect is quite heavy.  Not only are the humans being consumed, but it’s implied that everyone must die to have one winner.  That’s a heavy price for the reader knowing that all the side characters will be killed off eventually.  But, you know, Horror.
I recommend this if you enjoy Horror.  For myself, I may continue reading, but likely won’t as Horror just isn’t what I enjoy.
