Three hunters: two for a pet and one for power.

Today was the Erodicilee’s happiest day—until it wasn’t. A cruel monster interrupted his trip, stole his mother and fled, but thankfully, he was born for such an occasion. For him, eating creatures will allow him to evolve new abilities to grow strong enough and find the one he loves!

Lecorondia loved the perks of being a movie star, especially easy access to smuggling. However, when a native interrupts her illegal romp about The Australian Outback, things get complicated. It turns out losing a dangerous predator gets the Galactic Government riled up. Now she must get her darling baby back—or else!

Lucy McCloud loved her job at the Department of Miscellaneous Affairs. But she never bargained on seeing proof of aliens on Earth actually hitting her desk. Now, she and her colleague Jerry are the government‘s first response, and they‘re on a collision course toward an adorable first contact—provided it's not as deadly as the conspiracy theorist says.

Disclosure: I'm a beta reader. I've read through chapter 27 at time of review, as Zenkarn finishes chapters.
Adorable Atrocity is a ton of fun to read. I've really enjoyed the whole story so far, from Erodicilee the alien Pekingese dog getting left in Australia on accident to the overwhelmingly chaotic response to first contact with aliens. Zencarn's written a very fun story, and I strongly recommend it.
Style: Zenkarn has strong voices for his characters, a humorous style that blends into the chaotic world he's created, and a good sense of moving the plot forward. There's also a great mix between action, drama, and downtime.
Story: The story follows three main characters. The first is Erodicilee, an alien dog with the power to steal traits from whatever living animal it eats. He goes missing, and the other two main characters (Lecorondia, an alien movie star who owns Ero AND Lucy McCloud, a government civil servant type) have to try to hunt him down and capture him before he eats too many things and becomes a danger. Shenanigans ensue.
The story feels well-planned, with cool ideas, interesting fights with the local wildlife, and both small-and-large-scale problems. It's enjoyable and fun to read.
Grammar: A couple of errors here and there, but they don't detract from the story in my opinion.
Characters: Characterization is where this story seems to shine. My personal favorite character is Jerry, an older member of the Department of Miscellaneous Affairs who works with Lucy McCloud. He's got such a strong voice, feels really deep, and plays his role perfectly. However, each of the main characters has solid voice, motivations, and even separate narration styles. I really appreciate that attention to character detail.
Overall, I strongly recommend this one. It's fun. It's silly. And it feels surprisingly accurate to how the world would react to first alien contact.

A short story that is the very depiction of quality over quantity.
The story revolves around multiple characters yet not one of them feel stale, with the main characters' growing and evolving with each chapter.
World building and story setting is excellent and the way it is provided makes processing the information delictable compared to large indo dumps.
Hunting and Intrigue is the name of the game - our characters navigate around these two points with each character's goals and differences from each other contrasting and comparing.
Lastly, plus points for cute ball of tuft, dommy lizard mommy, protective daddy, and blondy who was able to grow and adapt to the situation while keeping to her own thoughts and ideas.

Short and sweet (and bloody) tale of first contact in the Australian outback. Hand waves any communication issues, but offers one of the cutest (and deadliest) animal protagonists you'll ever see.
Interesting mix of characters and points of view, both human and alien, the story length hits a sweet spot of fully exploring the themes without hanging on over-long.

What can I say? It’s adorable!  The setting is explained clearly and I can see everything as it described with no faults.  I especially love when the fluff tries to describe some animals, (too precious).  The characters are all well made, they have their own personalities and (few) healthy secrets to keep it interesting.  I must commend the author because it is not easy to spit attention to 3 different povs, but they did exemplary work!  I was nose deep in the screen the entire time I was reading this.  Keep up the great work!

Adorable Atrocity has quite an exciting prose regarding our good boy, Erodicilee. The author tries to reflect the world understanding a baby monster would have. In my personal opinion, he does it well.
The setting for Erodicilee in the Australian Outback is rather quaint but works incredibly well for a (cute) monster that evolves from what it eats. The story does have two other viewpoints so far.
A human woman, Lucy, is inconvenienced by her beauty as a government worker. I gave her points for trying to be competent at her job. However, I did find her the least likable of the three viewpoints. I'm unsure why. Vague feelings will do that.
(Then again, competing with an evolving monster is hard.)
The other viewpoint, Lecorondia, felt great to read. This is a woman who knows what she has and knows how to use it well. The social manipulation, confidence, and subtle intelligence are quite the blend. Plus, she's neat and the primary way you'll learn about alien culture.
The grammar in the story is very well-groomed, and any mistakes are minimal. If someone reading for free expects better, I'd suggest they write their own story and keep that opinion for long.
The constant panning between characters (usually given a chapter independently) is a distinct style. I didn't mind it, and in fact, it helps you see more of the cards in play when an alien comes to town. The story is unique, at least in how it is implemented. I have no clue how long it will go or if it will have more plot by the time our darling little monster finds his mom.
Currently, the cast of characters is growing more expansive, but the author does very well in making each distinct.
What else? It's a good read, more sci-fi than pure fantasy, with a highly subtle character sheet to show the evolution of our adorable Atrocity.

I encourage giving this a chance even if you do not like POV swaps.
The first FIVE chapters should solve any hang ups on POV related issues.
Chapter NINE is going to set a big maker for the Mentality/Tone (worldbuilding) that is to be expected.
Chapter FOURTEEN is a potential hang up for personal preference with some readers.

Adorable to slightly dark but still adorable.
Disclaimer I do not love POV changes, in fact if a Think about them - I do hate them. They have ruined numerous stories for me for many a reason, mostly just poor execution or just brought in a POV on a character I just do not care about... but was still important to the story, not my kind of thing.
This does not really fall into those typical failings - in my opinion. This was good to read.
