Style: The style of the story is very descriptive and makes you feel as though you are seeing through the eyes of the main character. You can really feel the loneliness in space. I also find it really interesting that the chapters go between looking at and observing the world and ones with other chatacters in dialog.
Story: I am interested in seeing where this story goes. There are so many interesting tidbits here and there that I want to see how they come together. What is Aedan's past? Why is he there? What are the marks against him? Why does he have the attention of the bosses? There is so much there are I can see it perfectly interwieving to continue making a great story.
Grammar: Hardly any mistakes at all. This is the level of grammar that one would see in a published novel.
Character: I want to start out by saying that the atmosphere itself seems to act as a character. The loneliness of open space, the beauty of it and the danger. The author lovingly creates such a strong feeling that it seems a prescense. I enjoy the main character. The way that he is able to understand and maipulate an interaction to his benefit, his causing trouble, and his competance are all very enjoyable. I look forward to seeing more of his past slowly revealed to see what has shaped him into the person that he is.
Overall: Overall I think that this is definately worth a read. If you like stories with scenery and that lovingly takes its time on description and building an understanding of this alien word and its technology this is one you don't want to miss. I can see the author's love in their craft and it makes the read overall a very enjoyable one.

I'm not going to lie, I've been reading this book on and off, but I kept putting it down because it is FAR TOO Relatable.
After a hard day of work doing something quite similar to what is being described in the book, I really did not want to read about the exact same scenarios that the main character faces.
HOWEVER! If you love mechanics, deep intricate repair scenarios as well as a realistic work environment that is eerily similar to how your job currently is being done (if you're anywhere near being a technician level), this is the BEST book for you, hands down.
    Style:
One of the best descriptions of the technican's/mechanic/repairman job I have ever seen in a sci-fi novel. It isn't fantasy, it's straight down to the tools, the procedures, the manuals, the forms, the waivers. I'm only waiting for the safety briefings through crude Powerpoint Slides and OSHA rolling in on a shuttle.
The descriptions are fluid, clear and concise. Every single action taken by the main character is detailed and in motion, allowing you to really feel that you're right there with him in the action sequence.
Dialogue is fast, witty and snappy - I would love to see much much more dialogue in the first chapter.
    Story:
To be quite frank, there isn't much of a story till the MC gets called into a ritzy diner for a 'meeting', hinting at the MC's dark past. There is a slight issue with events/info popping out of nowhere, with almost zero foreshadowing (like the introduction of Therelium - did I spell that right?) which might throw readers off a bit.
To read this book you have to be okay with multiple new terms being thrown at you and not know what they mean.
Once the dark past gets hinted at, I started to feel a lot more invested in the MC and his actions, wanting to know more.
    Grammar:
    5/5, nothing much to say.
    Character:
The only character I can rate on is the main character, as I did not feel like any other character got even remotely a percent of the airtime the MC did. As such, it's a 5/5

For a person who has spent more years of their life than they want to admit working maintenance in factories and mines this story felt entirely too relatable. Love the visuals the artwork is a nice touch. Overall well written dialogue is clear and it was a lot of fun to read.

Ad astra is a sci-fi adventure set in a massive space station. The chapters I've read so far have done a great job establishing the setting in which this space opera takes place, and the current duties and capabilities of the MC - Aedan Sones. The first few chapters introduce us to the MC and the space station until the circumstances change and we get glimpses of the true plot of this book. It has been an exciting read so far, and I'm looking forward to see where it goes from here.
Style : The author has done a good job with writing long scenes describing the chapter's inner thought process and problem solving, as well as paying attentino to worldbuilding, without a single interpersonal interactions. In fact, a long time goes by before our MC interacts with someone, and the author has managed to do that tastefully, without affecting pace or bogging the reader with too much information.
Story : The worldbuilding and setup of this space opera is perfect and there is incredible attention to detail as the first 3 chapters are focused on just the setup. Only in the 5th chapter, we get to understand where the story is coming from and where it may be going. Without spoiling much, the plot definitely thickens by the time we get to the 5th chapter, and there is intrigue afoot.
Grammar score : The writing is exquisite and I found no spelling or grammar issues.
Character score : The character of our MC, Aedan Sones, is incredibly well developed. That is kind of expected, since we spend a lot of time in his head. But going beyond that, once we get to a major plot twist/revelation in the story, there are many layers of depth that get added to the character. Beyond that, there are a few side characters we see, but their importance is not clear as of yet, except that of the section head.
Overall, the story starts with meticulous worldbuilding, and now things have started to pick up pace and the plot is advancing nicely. I'm looking forward to see what comes next!
