A Werewolf In Under-Town

Description
Modern Age Online is the hottest new Full-immersion Superhero Virtual Reality MMO. Millions have dived into their Immersion pods to experience the life of a Superhero or Villain in a simulated recreation of Austin Texas. Join hands with other players to do battle with Mutants, Aliens, Wizards and other various denizens of the first Superhero VRMMO.
Follow the Mutant Werewolf, Shaggy, as he and his friends try to become some of the biggest Villains in the underground city of Under-Town. Using nothing but their limited wits, semi-decent gaming skills and a dream, they will try to create their own crew in the already gang-infested streets. Join Shaggy, Vlad, Ren, Slink and others as they gather a few Lackeys and go head to head with mobsters, failed science experiments, and other players in this story about how the other half lives in a game of Superheroes, Aliens, and Mutants.
A Werewolf In Under-Town is a project I started when I was stuck on the fourth book in my main line LitRPG series, Modern Age Online. It started as a sort of pallet cleanser and grew from there. Where Modern Age Online follows The Professor and his Superhero friends, A Werewolf In Under-Town takes a few bit villains from that series and follows their trials and tribulations in the underground city of Under-Town.
I don't personally think you need to read the original work, (although I won't complain if you do. It's on Amazon's Kindle Unlimited, https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B08CMDVXM2?maas=&ref= but I'm sure someone will disagree with that statement. But I would sure appreciate if ya gave it a try.

- Sean UmaliRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This book seamlessly combines werewolves and litrpg elements in a captivating superhero virtual reality world. The narrative unfolds solely within the VR realm, maintaining immersive storytelling.
The main character is charming and sassy and is powerful but not overpowered, with foreshadows of OP potential growth.
The characters are intricately crafted, engaging in activities beyond the immediate scenes, adding depth to the story. Every scene is richly detailed, allowing readers to vividly envision character interactions, dynamic fights, and become active witnesses in the unfolding narrative.
If you have a penchant for werewolves, villains, superpowers, and the intricacies of kingdom/gang building, this book is a must-read. - SharkyBeeRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0He he he shameless reader here, I'll be living a review of 4 🌟.
Hey author! I just wanted to express my appreciation for your hard work. Please keep it up and don’t give up on the book! You’ve got this! 😊 I will always support you.
I love supernatural novels like werewolf and Elf vampire novels. - Nobunaga OdinRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5I want to stress that this is purely my personal opinion, and I might exaggerate certain points that impacted my enjoyment of the story. I may not go into detail about what I liked because I believe a review should help an author identify flaws or inconsistencies in their work.
The story is engaging and well-crafted, but I have some issues with the storytelling. You get details later on, which isn’t necessarily bad, but if you explain why dying in the game is detrimental, it’s crucial to highlight its severity from the start rather than making it seem worse after a few instances. I want to understand how much progress is lost.
Another aspect I dislike is the number of “unnecessary” characters in the story. This is a personal gripe because I keep track of character names, their professions, species, roles, etc. I have four pages filled with names, and many of them don’t get the “screen time” they deserve. The author introduces them, gives them powers, and then forgets about them 15 chapters later.
While I appreciate the world-building, I would love more details on how the various aliens, mutants, and superheroes/villains integrate into this world. For instance, which alien race dominates this industry, and what kind of environment should we create for our subordinates? Another question is which species is most common in the main character’s group in this town or in general? I have many questions, but I must say that I am just curious about such details, which many stories don’t provide. Overall, the power structure in the world is well-done.
Another issue I found was the lack of respect or how the main character is often belittled. This can be amusing and was funny at first, but when a guy who was about to be abducted and then sees his captors brutally killed by a guy with claws talks to his savior like he’s ordering a pizza, I found it unrealistic. I disliked that there wasn’t even a hint of fear, and this isn’t the only time someone shows more courage than they sho
