A War of Men and Demons

In a world where magic runs through the earth itself and fills the blood of its inhabitants, the ebb and flow of magic in Estya has raised and razed entire nations in the matter of days. And few know this better than Fallis. Pried from her studies at the Scholia Solii as a teenager and conscripted into the Ebonblade for her Divine-blessed magic, she finds herself honing her skills not in a classroom with friends, but on the battlefield against Demons. And she knows her day in battle will come, where she will die at the hands of a monster.

That is…. until a shadow on the battlefield tears open everything Fallis thought she knew about life and death to save her.

The shadow won’t even explain why they did it, and there are too many secrets for her to trust the shadow completely… but her own death is about to become the least of her worries.

The dark forces of Hell itself are on the doorstep of Estya and they threaten to destroy the already torn remnants of their world, and Fallis finds herself with a choice. Align herself with her sworn enemies and have her trust and power tested to the highest degree to stem the wave of darkness… Or remain as she is and hope everything resolves itself. And that she isn’t betrayed and murdered again. And that the Archmage doesn’t send her off to die.

It isn’t really a choice, is it? Not every Estyan gets infinite lives, after all.
