- KillerKittyKatIVRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is awesome! It's definitely the best thing this author's released so far and you can see the love he has for this story with every chapter. The chapters are long too, and you can tell he's just getting started but already there's so much character development and epic moments, it's an amazing read!
Overall, this is one of the coolest and most fleshed out worlds I've seen. We have so much information on how so much of this world works but the more he explains the more questions I have, and I have a feeling there's a lot more to discover. I like how natural everything feels, so many stories in the LitRPG category have so many spreadsheets and so much math that it's almost hard to focus on the story sometimes, but the system messages are few and far between and they don't give very much information, so we get to see a lot more experimenting with abilities and ideas that you don't get as much of in more traditional styles of LitRPG.
The style is really good, it really focuses on realism and makes sure it's easy to tell what's happening in a given scenario. The descriptions are also incredible, and it makes some of the coolest moments in what he's written so far. One problem is with the system messages, it's like he can't decide if the messages are from the gods, the world, the racial trait, or some other outside entity and that does make it a little bit confusing, especially when he switches between them in the same message, it just seems a little disjointed.
There's some spelling and grammar errors, but it really doesn't effect the story much and it's a really fun read.
The story is so good! There's a clear beginning and a clear end goal, but anyone's guess is as good as mine when it comes to how he's gonna get there. The story has already taken some turns I did not expect and it's already heading in a direction I couldn't have guessed to save my life!
The characters are complex, even the characters we don't see for very long have accents, personalities, and - TheoSteelRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Few things are as fun as the first moment's someone wakes up to being Isekai'ed! I love watching them fumble around, making the best decisions they can. A great start! I can't wait for more. A few minor editing errors and good room for growth, but as he said, he has no editor and things like that can be fixed later. I like the idea of trying for less crunchy stats and more organic growth. Stats are great and fun, but I look forward to seeing something having a little less spreadsheets and a little more action in the RPG category.
- Mr. PenkRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Sometimes I love it. Sometimes it feels kinda rushed and too condensed.
I particularly liked "Expression of a Soul". The magic is really cool.
I also really like how it makes the MC into a sort of supporting character in Zerrious' adventure without overshadowing him. Like a cool mentor instead of a worse version of Zerrious even though Zerrious clearly fills in the "powerful leader" role.
Scarce and minor spelling/grammar mistakes.
