ON BREAK

Only 3 percent of the people in Choron have a Gift, a super natural ability that allows them to manipulate the world. Of that three percent, four in five are nobles, making life hard for Kira, who was born in a lower class.

Kira has the power to read minds but it isn't enough. She needs the power to be able to change her kingdom for the better. With the Seer forseeing that only those who graduate the Academy have a chance to rewrite fate, she only has one choice. Getting into the Academy won't be an easy task, and suriviving it will be even harder.

Follow Kira as she tries to overthrow the ruling class of Choron and survive the dangerous Academy, learning how to use her Gift as she does so.

Only one chapter so far so early days for a review.
Pretty good punctuation and grammar. Only a few that make the reader have to think to understand what the author was writing about.
That said, the author has a good grasp on the essentials of storytelling. Descriptive but succinct, emotive but not overboard, and a, so far, likeable MC who the reader will quickly form a bond with, and want to know what happens to her next!
The only villain and the authority figure are a bit cliched so far but then this is the type of story where one needs these types of characters to form a backdrop of power and suppression which the MC can fight against or surpass.
I'm interested to see where the author takes this.
