- MrWheelOfMimeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I've read this story around 2 months ago (when it was released), but my mind came back to it today. And it's not only good, but really, really good.
I liked the pace, the slow reveal of the MC and his story and how things get recontecontualised the more we know. I liked his knights characterisation and goals. And the finale was just *chef's kiss*.
Considering the number of reviews on this short story right now (a big fat zero) dare I say it's clearly underappreciated. - NakushaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0well written, good style, satisfying end!
but still leaves the reader wanting more ...
The story is a glimpse into a world with an interesting magic that is all about change, or rather 'Change' occuring and the mages directing this Change. We only get to travel alongside the MC for a short time, learning some things about him, just enough to know that epic tales could be told - but he will not tell them. I liked the way he is detached from worldly affairs but also caring and interested in his own way.
I dont want to spoil anything, so this is where my review has to end.
