A Sky Full of Tropes: Tempest Child [Reincarnated Psychic Child LitRPG]
Community Rating
Description
Drake Corwen was an engineer before he was reincarnated. Faced with the daunting prospect of being a hero, he quickly discovers that he is not unique. Reincarnators aren’t even particularly rare. There are billions of them scattered throughout the Crystalline Heavens, a cluster of star-like spheres surrounded by floating islands. And every one of them has the potential to make life more complicated.
Dungeon cores seek to keep the memory of Earth alive through recreating and remixing ancient legends and tropes. Drake is reincarnated as a hero for the five millionth time to play through these stories again, but this time, his core is doing a little experiment: What happens if it doesn't give the hero any quests?
Given the option, Drake would prefer to build and explore than kill and destroy. To that end, he sets his course to learn skills, attend a prestigious magical academy, and eventually build his own skyship to explore this sky full of tropes.

- IdentityRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5So far it's been a somewhat amusing and intriguing story. The world seems strange, or at least it has a bunch of quirks that seem to point towards some kind of governing force deliberately making it. Gods, eldritch beings or maybe just super scientists? Who knows, whatever might have made it, at the very least it's an interesting one.
Since there isn't much content yet I can't fully say how the rest of the story will go, but so far it's been somewhat fun, the progression system has been outlined, a job system with rarities and skills), his future is also somewhat clear, at least the general outline, add to that a few interesting characters and you've got a good work of fiction.
Style wise it's decent, with the protagonist gradually discovering info about the world and interacting with it despite his bodies young age. Though the general tone of the fiction is light, there's enough action that it's unlikely to get boring, especially with the latest chapters. There's been plenty of hints that the world has got some kind of big mystery, though what that is I can't even begin to guess.
Grammar-wise it's been mostly error free.
I'd say this is a decent-sized snack and a good read, recommended.
