During the first world war, Larry Born, a soldier from Earth, finds himself killed and very unexpectedly resurrected into the body of a fae princess. Now Laeanna, the new princess slowly comes to realize that she is not the only person from Earth to cross over to the world of Alfheim... and some of these Earthlings are eager to conquer the fae realms. Join Laeanna on her quest to court the beautiful Meliswe, keep herself out of trouble (not likely!), and save Alfheim and Earth from the evil forces that would conquer them or engulf both worlds in eternal chaos.

I have had an itch for a fae court story with lots of politics, death, drama and disturbing themes. This story scratches that itch, but it could have gone a bit thicker on the disturbing themes.
It's an isekai, but it dodges many of the overdone tropes. I'm thankful that it is't a litRPG. It is't a wish fulfilment story either. Also the main lead is't the smartest or most powerful character in the story.
It reads a bit more like an actual book than most stories here, with relatively long chapters and a slow but steady plot progression.
Its biggest strength are the vivid characters, which all have their own motives and personality. The world itself is a bit bland, but there is still time for the world to unfold a bit.
Story wise i'm intrigued but it has not jet unfolded enough to make a proper judgement.
I've been a bit generous with the star ratings in this review, because most people are generous with ratings on RR and I agree that online stories should not be held to the same level of scrutiny as printed books. It's free to read and if this is the type of story you like, you won't regret giving it a chance.
