Amaris Gwen was born an empty shell. Her breath and body preceded her. When her soul had caught up at last, it was already broken: memories of a life lived in a world so different from the one she is in haunt her.

While this life is kinder than the last, it is no less filled with peril. A peculiar madness stalks her, and it seems that she cannot escape the horror of her past.
