Description

A story about the second son of a noble house and his journey down the path of magehood. Follow Asmodeas as he seeks to step out of the shadow of the name of his family and prove himself every bit as worthy as his brother who has gone before him, a famous mage in his own right. This is a world where Gods, Immortals and mages roam with impunity, filled with magic and wonder, mystery and opportunity.

Strongly focused on progression with elements of the "rational" subgenre of fantasy. Magic academy.

The simplicty of the story is what really drew me in, coupled with the decent magic systems so far kept me here.
While i enjoy the story so far, only one of the characters stand out with any realy personality. While the MC had drive, his lack of interraction with others really doesnt let him shine for a lack of better words.
As of now i'd rate this story a solid 4/5 with room to grow.

The story so far follows the MC going to a magic academy and starting his life there. I enjoyed the read, though it doesn't really feel like the story has picked up just yet.
Style: We get a third person limited narration, meaning we see the story through the lense of the MC Asmodeas. Asmodeas Is pretty stoic, so the style feels a bit dry at times, especially during the first few chapters. However, it grew on me as I kept reading, and I like it think of the style as a way of developing his character.
Story: I like the magic system world-building, and the classes he takes at the academy are decently interesting. However, there isn't really any driving plot besides Asmodeas wanting to succeed in classes yet, though such a plot has been foreshadowed.
Grammar: good enough to not distract from the story
Characters: also a bit sparse, as we get Asmodeas's stoic descriptions of people and he is a bit of a loner. However, the few characters we have seen in more detail don't appear too similar to each other, and I'm hopeful they will develop gradually just as Asmodeas gets to know them gradually.
