    I read this when it first came out and have been coming back to it every couple of months to relive the magic i experienced when first reading it and getting immersed into the pokemon world to a great degree that i havent in a long while. I mainly want to comment here not only to show my thanks for allowing me to read something that moved my mind, emotions and/or heart! As well as getting it a bit more recognition, though little with my one comment here on royalroad.
    I just hope that at least one person can feel how i felt when experiencing and reading this fanfic even if i never know if it does happen/ it never actually happens then at least i tried and left my traces where i found bits and clues of meaning.
    Thank you, truly. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors! PS: hahaha im sorry about my grammar/ sentence structure, it really isnt great

    This is a fun start to a new story.  Our MC seems like a pretty hardcore pokemon nerd who is all about the numbers and PvP battles.  I'm not familiar with PvP strats since I never got into that side of Pokemon, but it's interesting to read about a character who is, and is leveraging his knowledge and planning ahead to become powerful.  Characters that are thoughtful and proactive like that are the most satisfying to read about, in my opinion.  The author also works in a lot of humor and a bunch of crazy fan theories that I've never heard of before.  I'm especially enjoying that aspect because it creates a different perspective than most of the Pokemon fanfics I read.
    At this point in the story, there hasn't been a lot of action (it's still the beginning, after all) but there has been some set up for potentially interesting plot points.  I'm looking forward to seeing our MC grow stronger on his journey and do some work for his sponsor.  I get the feeling that he's going to get caught up in some of the events that he's said he'd rather avoid.
    So far the grammar is good and I'm enjoying the style, although I did think that some of the set up in the very first chapter dragged on a tiny bit more than it needed to.

    A good read. The author does well  by standing out by going into more depth with the mechanics of the Pokemon battles and moves. It's a nice difference from the standard noob with legendary mon that is commonly done. Looking forward to seeing how the story develops and the battle plans progress.

    I’m loving it so far! The grammar is a bit rough, but I like that we get a look into our MC’s thoughts every so often, and his memories of conversations with Lonnie are hilarious and offer some of the esoteric lore and fan theories of Pokémon lol  My favorite part by far is his starter and how they meet!
    Truly a fresh and exciting Pokémon story that mixes the meta-knowledge with a new trainer’s journey

    A pokemon SI? Actual established worldbuilding? Likable MC? THIS IS LIKE CRACK STRAIGHT TO MAH VEINS! To be completely honest, the various unclear variables in the games and the anime are being cleared wonderfully. The MC is very logical in his thinking/choices and not at all a John Doe character. Plus normal type pokemons rule! I pray for an actual Loppuny so we can do this mon some justice instead of just being furbait!🙏

    This story rocks. Solid grammar(not perfect but honestly having better grammar wouldn't improve anything at all, dude.), likeable characters, good Pokémon selection(based Porygon + Dunsparce tbh)
    this fic rocks, check it out dude. I cannot help but say that this book has the potential to be as good as the big guys (The Type Specialist, Borne of Caution, I Will Touch The Skies, etc)

    This is a pretty interesting story. I like the protagonist's personality and mindset. He dwells on a lot of questions about things that most SIs would just accept/ignore. Of course, he doesn't usually come up with conclusive answers to those questions. More often he just ends up recalling some memory of his Matpat-esque friend rambling about some crazy headcanon before droping the subject. Still just the act of asking these questions in the first place makes the MC feel somehow more realistic and tangible than the average SI.
    I like the concept of pokemon SI stories but there honestly haven't been that many that kept my interest for very long. I enjoyed The Natural for a while but I'm not a big Alola fan so I dropped it at some point. The only two pokemon SI stories that I'm actively following now are Borne of Caution and Hard Enough. This is now the third one even if it is still in it's early stages. I look forward to see what it develops into.

    Do you want to read an egregious amount of pokemon fan theory? Of course you do.
    This series has built a deeper world despite it's recent start, than a lot of other fan fictions. And managed to be engaging about it. There is always a joke or character moment in an exposition dump, to keep it fun to read.
    Storywise it's a bit fast-paced. If you are looking for a slice of life fiction to read, this is not it. There are some character moments, the they are not neglected, but there are some jarring time skips. This has the advantage of keeping the story rolling, it doesn't get stuck for long.
    Overall fun read. Can't wait for more.

    I love Pokémon.  I'm not an advanced player and really just brute force my opponents when I play.  The level of depth to the strategy and lore blows me away with this story.  I recognize the names and places but am learning so much about a series that I love from reading this story.  So kudos to the author.  Maybe they are making all this up and a pokemon expert will read this and be horrified.  Oh well.  Too bad for them.  I also appreciate that the battling and move system in this isn't overly complex.  Some stories really butcher it.  Also the MC is progressing at a reasonable pace.  Some times the plot moves way too slow.  Long review short, well written, great pace, awesome depth. MOAR PLZ!
