A 10 year old boy, like so many before him, embarks on a quest to become the greatest Pokemon Trainer along with his three other, closest friends, and capture all Pokemon known. It isn't long after the children go on their seperate paths, that they realize the risks, sacrifices, and horrors that come along with this attempt. Personalities between Pokemon and Trainer clash, friendly rivalries become a lot more personal, and an evil like none other will put these four's will and and determination to the greatest test where only the strongest will make it to the end.

The algorithm keeps recommending thos to me, and I appreciate it. I have a lot of catching up to do.
That beings said, this story starts off really great. The author was aiming for Pokemon but darker, and they hit the nail on the head with it.
Right at journey's beginning, there's dram, character problems, character growth, and great pacing. Even though most people know this world and the pokemon, it feels new all over again.

Ok, let me preface this by saying I enjoy the story.
And 2.5 stars is average. It's exactly middle ground. I will read the rest of this, I just need to put my thoughts down before I forget them.
If you like pokemon, read this. That being said, there are some glaring faults. The story is told through the eyes of a ten year old. Problem is, he usually doesnt think like a ten year old. Except around girls, which is relieving. Hes just too mature in every other aspect of his life.
Another problem is the pacing. Everything felt like it was happening too fast, still does, but truth is there isnt much of a solid timeline to go by. I recently thought only a week had passed, which was outrageous, then found out he'd been on a route with June for a month. Made me realize I have no idea how long it's been since we started the story.
Lastly, use some creative liberty. Too often it feels like I'm reading someone play the game. The whole trading pokemon felt forced. Like why use a machine when you could just... hand the pokeball off. Much like how he got his starter pokemon. It seems like most of the pokemon know more than 4 moves (or I just cant count), why not extend that creativity to the rest of the world.
Anyways, those are my main thoughts for now. I'll update this after I finish reading your story, but I need a placeholder for my thoughts, and this is my honest score for your story up to this point.
It's an average story not because it isnt good, but theres this feeling that it tries to stay too true to the game which leaves some plot holes and a feeling of a square peg going through a round hole

The book is a little bit painful to read the Autor just decideds to continuously make the main character more miserable Pokemon fanfic the amount of Pokémon are very low the themes of this book are very dark like an entire City just being an illusion and most of the people being dead the reason I like to read Pokémon fanfics are because of the nice and warm environment with happy-go-lucky stuff that is often found in Pokémon friendship with the Pokémon are still included but every single one of them has a not so nice past the starter abandoning the main character in the first few episodes leaving him to die realising that it isn't very good and decides to save the main character who was already saved in the meantime one's or that the evil team is just the we want to kill and destroy all animals Team and a completly toren apart family and a crazy mom I know it supposed to be a more realistic take but even the dark Pokémon fanfics that claimed to be a realistic take don't torture there main character just for content or another thing while this fanfic uses the term we train only the Pokemon train not a trainer himself good thing No harem no system no magical power of friendship my Aura is stronger than yours i'm a psychic and buzz you mind B'S those that want to see the painful life of a main character which isn't him surviving in the forest with magical beasts this is the perfect fanfic for you you Autor if you see this give the main character a break like a fun vacation to orange Island or so
