I'm only reviewing this at Chapter 3/Page 16 so I'm not doing an advanced review like I normally would.
That said, I am loving the descriptions of the magic and desperation of the MC as well as his relationship with his mother.  I'm barely into the book and I'm already invested in both of them.
Hopefully the author will keep this going because it is well worth your time as a reader.

As of chapter 8, Necromancer's Village is an entirely new and novel experience. On this website, one may find hundreds of titles in which necromancy is used for revenge and general bloodletting for absolute control of everything that ever existed. Village decides that this is utterly narrow minded and creates a tale that, if not feeling real for the sheer fact of magic, certainly feels reasonable. As far as all of the above judgements go, I have yet to see a single spelling error, flat character, or erroneous choice words that demeans the work.
I look forward to many more chapters good sir or madam.

I love a good necromancer, and Annel is shaping up to be a great one. The story flows smoothly, the world and its magic are interesting without being overwhelmingly complex. I also like that Annel isn't an overpowered mage who does everything perfectly on his first try. He's learning through practice. The motives for his actions are believable, and his justifications, though a but twisted, are strangely sympathetic.
    I can't wait for more!

I'm a sucker for anything that describes necromancy in realistic detail. The first chapter does that really well. At ten pages I don't feel there is enough content yet to give it ratings, but so far, your grammar is an easy five. You use punctuation like a master magician. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this develops as a story.
Okay, the system makes you plug in ratings, I did not know that. I wanted to see more first before I could even begin to be fair. I left a four for building a promising start.
