Four years ago, three writers created the most dangerous world they could think of.
In their foolishness, they hadn't even considered that they would be stuck in it.

- ntlazerRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This gripping read pulls readers in from the very first paragraph, thrusting us into the midst of friends suddenly finding themselves transported into a dangerous fantasy world of their own creation. It's great. It's a common thread that a lot of authors and readers think about in stories they're engrossed in. "Would I survive in the world of my own making?" Well, now the answer is explored!
Multiple points of view might raise eyebrows, but I think they're handled really well to get different eyes on the new world from the POV of different characters that all have some attachment.
Cádo, Kenny, and Bernard are realistically-drawn protagonists, each with their own distinct voice and perspective. There is a nice sense of both their camaraderie and their interpersonal conflicts. I also love the images interspersed throughout this read, letting you get another dynamic of the protags as you jump chapter to chapter. The story shines in seamlessly interweaving backstory details about their former lives on Earth with tension-filled scenes of their struggle to survive the harsh environment of the fantasy realm.
On a technical level, the writing is excellent. Descriptions are vivid without being excessive. Smooth transitions move between different settings and viewpoints. Dialogue feels natural, and exposition about the fictional world is skillfully woven in without info dumps that might slow the brisk pacing.
Despite covering only a few days, the plot moves right along and captivates with some fun action sequences, close escapes, and nagging mysteries about the new reality the friends find themselves in. There's a wonderfully cinematic quality to intense scenes like the desperate battle early on with a giant bear.
If the rest of the book maintains this level of quality, it promises to be a truly exceptional and a pretty memorable ride - All for TommorowRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm liking the story so far. I'm just getting started but things seem to be building nicely.
I like that ORAR is twisting the isekai genre and adding their own distinct flair to it. The The POV changes are quite surprising, but skillfully done.
Overall, I can't wait to see how this story progresses. Still too early into the story to discuss world building, power systems and so on, but its been good so far. - 1536539Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I don’t usually write reviews but this story deserves one.
initially let me state that i hate stories with multiple lead characters, as matter of fact I can’t think of any multi-lead story that i like with the exception of this one.
the 3 main characters are each unique, likable, don’t overshadow each other and they are beautifully flawed.
The POV changes don’t break emersion.
It’s too early in the story to speak for world building and the power system but so far so good, but more importantly than all this i find myself eagerly looking forward to reading more of this story.
it is very entertaining, hats off to the author. - HavrothRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I enjoy reading this story. I'm crap at writing which is why I read but I know that reviews matter and i want to help. I like that having 3 mcs. I like that they keep having bad times. I like that they have to deal with the crap they invented even if they never specifically thought of it.
If I had a request it would be that the character's inner monologs become more developed. Not just that they think about different things, but that they think about the same thing differently, or use different kinds of words even when thinking to them selfs - MamiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A loonie psychopath, a olympian that goes gotta catch em all to dem awards and a logical sane person get transported into their novel. POVs change and all the three characters way of thinking written so good.
Its gory and suprisingly good isekai
My only complaint is there is not enough chapters🙂 - Surgeon1Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am on chapter 31 and can't get enough. Already bought the patreon for early access.
0 grammer mistakes so far and I love it. All three characters are solidly developed having high individuality.
The fights are choreographed well and, the grimdark aspect of the world is quite explicitly shown in the first 30 chapters - WiroWirongoWiresseWiroatorRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0It has the perfect balance between edginess and the cool factor. The POV change may be a little confusing, specially because there is a name change too, but we as readers shouldn't be afraid of a challenge once in a while.
I really like that achievements feel... Achieved if you know what I mean. - crunchypastaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Technically well written, grammar punctuation etc. likeable characters with an interesting storyline. Seems to be really good execution on isekai storyline. Three guys transported to another world. Only its the setting of their novel. Very much dark and dirty world. Early days yet but interested to see more of what this author has to offer
- frankman99Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm giving this a good rating. I like the action which is pretty non stop. The early dialog and characterization of the the writers could be better. I feel like it is pretty rude to drop people into chapter 1 when they click the ad, but I'm cutting some slack because I know it is hard to break through. I hope they'll switch to sending people to the about page instead.

A fun read, compelling characters and a lot of room for growth.
Style
Style is where the writing suffers the most unfortunately, whilst far from poor, it comes across as inconsistent.
The biggest issue with this presents where you'd want it least, in the prologue, leaving the hook lacking in impact.
The prologue lacks clarity of perspective, tense, and narrator, in a manner that doesn't feel like an intentional stylistic choice.
It also suffers from a case of telling much more than showing, clearly trying to establish a sense of the characters and their dynamic, but unfortunately between the confusing narration and influx of information, it fails to leave a grounded impression.
To pull an example directly from the work:
"Kenny’s real name wasn’t Kenny, we just called him that. He’d been born Keyinde Johnathan Adebayo, in Nigeria. And he’d dealt with a lot of very irrational, stubborn old men in his time spent shadowing his father and studying the running of his company. It meant he was absolutely lightning at defusing Bernard when the situation called for it, and few situations ever had as much as this one. He took a careful step forward."
While here it's attempting to bring an understanding as to why Kenny is adept at dealing with defusing situations, it's handled in a clunky manner, and feels jarring and out of place from the prior paragraph.
This ties right back into the prologues main issue of an unclear voice, as it doesn't allow for an understanding of why we're being given this information.
It would help the flow somewhat, if the action came first, before the explanation, that way it feels less like 'context into an example', like you would find in a textbook, 'action, then the narrators perspective on the motivations/the effects' is a more natural progression in most cases.
After the prologue however, with clearly defined perspectives, it feels much more cohesive.
The different narrators have clearly defined voices, and their personalities make for
